I love stoned at the nail salon! Esp her use of her higher register. V introspective and melancholic, not at all what I was expecting based on the title but it is true that you have a lot of time to think when you’re getting nails done lol also, ok there are obvs similar instrumental environmenta but this all the jack hate over this song seems silly to me…it doesn’t strike me as a WAH ripoff at all.

being embodied is about the physical realm- being in touch with the experiences of the body and connecting your feelings to your actions. Lana sings about embodiment a lot in the way she constantly references her body in relation to the experiences she sings about, ie let me love you like a woman, NFR, cherry…idk, any song where she uses sensory details (sight, sound, touch) to help describe her experiences (honestly, most Lana songs!).

im with you on this one for sure- while I would never manifest an older reworked song lana has consistently turned back to older songs over the course of her career: yayo, the UV session songs getting reworked for HM (though never used ie say yes to Heaven), Yosemite, and now possibly these two. I dislike the TNBAR rework but tbh I wasn’t crazy about the demo either, but Yosemite is perfect on COCC and if Lana brings cherry blossom and/or thunder onto this next record it’ll be because they’ve finally found a home in the album, not just for the hell of it. Personally I don’t need re-recordings of either song- the versions we have are perfect- but if they help tell the next chapter of lanas story I’m here for it.
