I wish I was a bit older like some of you so I could associate summer 2014 to anything other than the eighth grade but… this album is full of songs that continue to be so fresh, timeless, and relatable 10 years later. Lana is not, in my opinion, calculating - but she is articulate and extremely talented with embodying the human condition in her lyrics - and I think this album is the epitome of that. Every chord in Cruel World hits home for me, and every reverbed beat switch in West Coast is like a swell of emotions. Happy Birthday Ultraviolence, you are quintessential Lana Del Dey, and you’ve inspired entire forums in your wake 🤍🖤

Listening to TTPD on vinyl front to back and it's just banger after banger I genuinely think this is top 3 in her discography when looked at as a whole work. Up there with 1989 and folklore in both it's storytelling and it's soundscape
