  1. Well it's not a song but when Lana tweeted this I thought by #uneedanewcocktail she meant Azealia needed an alcoholic beverage to chill out
  2. There are few album I feel genuinely changed my life and that's one of them

  4. This song is TOO good like i'm obsessed. I love the final version of Ultraviolence but this is equally so special I wish Lana released this in some capacity even like as a random soundcloud release
  5. I actually have a theory about this... Everyone has different tastes when it comes to music but I've noticed a lot of newer fans do like AKA or at least some songs from it. I feel like the disdain to AKA comes from the baseless (and just plain wrong) rumor that Lizzy Grant was unhappy during that time, so that turns people off. I also feel like on TikTok, Lana gets the same treatment as Beyonce where people kinda just pretend to be like 'I LOVE HER!!!" even though they only heard the popular singles so they just go off what other people said. In conclusion, TikTok is 24/7 fake news and none of them should be trusted
  6. Well no... It's recorded live but each instrument is also separately recorded including the vocals, it's very much possible to (and he did) change the production without touching the vocals and vice versa
  7. A thread for her existing Honestly I really don't understand the drama... all she appears to be guilty of is being weird, but isn't that her brand? I get her going "too far" sometimes and I don't watch her but this seems like such a non-issue compared to other scandals like... she is a married woman with a child
  8. I don't really understand the placebo analogy you're trying to make but I feel like you can't compare fake luxury to music A lot of people say unreleased versions are better because people don't have expectations when it comes to unreleased songs, as for released songs they should be technically be good but since Lana has so many great unreleased songs it's easy to compare... I remember when Nectar of the Gods leaked I thought it was amazing and deserved a release, and it was amazing for an unreleased song... it's still a concept demo and it shouldn't have been released as a concept demo if you get what I mean. When it comes to BAR and TNBAR, BAR was already a fully complete song intended for released but scrapped at the last minute due to unfortunate circumstances set on by active LanaBoards member, I would be lying if I said TNBAR wasn't a far more lazy version of BAR, but I don't mind either version. Fans were also used to the BAR version as they were with Thunder so to like something they're familiar with more is not as strange as you're making it out to be. It all comes down to quality at the end of the day, some songs are perfect unreleased songs and some released songs just aren't up to par. That being said, I would have probably LOVED Chemtrails / BB if it were unreleased for the sole reason they're not up to par with the rest of her discography (my opinion of course..) but I always look at things through the bigger picture, it's not just a black and white conversation or "placebo", theres many factors to consider and everyone has different interests.
  9. The camera angles and closes ups for Glastonbury are soooo much better compared to the other shows
  10. The UK is cancelling Lana for being late :(( I didn't want to delete any of her albums so i'm deleting Marina's instead
  11. Love how they just took our word for having a TV License
  12. I'm curious if Best American Record was meant to be a stand-alone single with a music video because they said "do you want to switch it with the song now, the album song now?" It's a shame this video was ruined I'd love to see the storyboard of what they had planned for BAR
  13. Recorded September 2017, after LFL It really depends how the individual would define a "witchy" sound, but the original vision she had in mind was definitely seemed more conceptual with space/cosmic undertones and 80s lynchian inspiration including a large atmosphere. I feel like this can really be seen in the Love music video, LFL trailer and songs like Beautiful People (Demo 2), 13 Beaches, Lust For Life (demo 1-3), Groupie Love (demo), Poetry In Motion, If I Die Young (counting it), Serene Queen, and Get Free which all have super clear elements of this cosmic sound. Somewhere along the process she became more inspired by woodstock hippie culture and wanted to incorprate beats and I feel like that's where it really changed. I do think that the idea of the original album having these tracks on it with this sound is a myth however... seemed a lot more like a idea that was being worked on then later combined with more elements she took inspo from ex. woodstock and politics. That's just my theory at least.
  14. Criminally underrated. This should have been released instead of the Ger*hwin Version
  15. Paradise and Tropico are totally separate I feel like "Tropico" is a hard conversation to have because it changed completely twice Tropico (Nov. 2012 - Apr. 2013) > Rick Nowels' Ultraviolence (May 2013 - Nov. 2013) > Dan Auchbach's Ultraviolence (Oct. 2013 - Feb. 2014) And I bet all of these versions had very different tracklist concepts like Tropico
  16. We're lucky if we get a random Instagram story or a cryptic tweet... Since you're new you should check out her unreleased songs if you haven't already!
