I hateeeeeeeeeee how underrated Eternal Sunshine is and how hard it was snubbed... Literally one of the best albums from 2024 and honestly timeless.
 
People will look back on ES in a couple years and realize how good it really was 

We're also getting THE Mariah Carey + a Mariah event + A free Mariah emote so I'll take that as a win...

I feel like there is a lot of misinformation around when it comes to this album by fans and Charli herself because I was there when it was leaking and there wasn't a set in stone album title but we had many leaked documents talking about the budget, marketing, artwork, and at least two different official draft tracklists.
 
Personally I think she should have released it when it was meant to be released. I feel like that PC Music type sound is kinda dated now and I think her re-working the tracks in the modern day would be the thing that kills the magic of this album and it was an amazing album.
 
I think it would be a fun little surprise drop if she did, but it feels unnecessary at this point in time like @Lanaparadiserey said...

I mentioned it in a thread 2 months ago so this is so cool to know that it hasn't been a forgotten fact... though a little misleading because though she wasn't signed with Sony, she had a deal with them and had a lot of sessions under them (late 2010-mid 2011), I believe this was just for her to work more and bring new music into them to potentially sign her but they weren't feeling anything she was doing. Then Video Games blew up and Sony probably wanted to sign her then but she was like nah and went to Interscope

Even though the Lipster's snub has followed me yearly since my lanaboards birth, this annual ritual has always been special for all of us divas on lanaboards dot com, and is one of the most fun times of the year, even if lana del rey is doing nothing for people to talk about on here. When you think about it, this site is kind of a haven of early internet forum spirit in the midst of twitter and tiktok and shit, and the Lipster's always magnify that feeling. Anyways, I wanted to take the moment to look back on some of my contributions to this site this year!

Since every year really does end up being more of a flop than the last, I don't expect to be nominated for anything.
