where is everyone getting leaked lana music??
sunday afternoon replied to jamesss's topic in Lana Thoughts
Interesting topic. I don't know either and it intrigues me. With each leak, I wonder how it can be possible that such a well-known artist and therefore with a lot of financial means can continue to have works stolen, Lana needs to invest in a safe and hard drives with code . But that's also why we love it, this messy generosity. But I guess there are several options: - Either Lana discloses them herself (Honeymoon and Hope...) for the videos are the proof, she can very well make anonymous YT accounts to disclose but we know that the songs go mainly through Honeymoun, so it's not not her - Her hard drive was stolen, but the leaked songs are sometimes after this incident so it's other people - Lana's entourage isn't secure enough and that's a problem - These people are in direct contact with Lana and since she is cool, she must say yes or no if he asks her for disclosure - Hackers can do absolutely anything on the Internet - The backdoors of the internet, I know there are loopholes and things are easier than you think to get things you want, old blogs, old mp3 sites, archives, a ant work. I managed to find very controversial stuff about a French celebrity, these cases were blocked by people newspapers, everything is possible - Fame and attention. These people have the codes but like that we expect things from them, and use this expectation to make us wait because they know that these beautiful songs are in their hands and that they have this power Anyway we will wait until the end, her musical life is exciting. -
It's absolutely the musical repertoire that I love, trip-hop has its darkest. Lana goes on this kind of sound. The album is a gem that has been with me since 2007, haunting.

I would listen to it more carefully.

Yeah, you're right. I was a great stan of the years 2008 - 2014 to encompass the end of the Artpop era and then what happened after didn't mark me. I still love the artist because she hasn't lost her talent, but her creativity is missing. I don't like her way of denying what she was during those years. And it is very frustrating to follow. When Lana doesn't give a damn about giving us gorgeous leaky tracks, Gaga gives us nothing, and we're waiting for project after project. Where is Artpop 2? because she didn't sell many albums she's still mad at it and thinks it's a bad album. Who cares, she streams it and we don't talk about it anymore. How capricious. For a star of her caliber, I still blame her for not having made reissues for 10 years by offering us new songs, or demo versions and even less creatively tiring: an acoustic album. She has been very productive during these years, and the photos she has a lot. I hate that she forgot that, and gave us a very disappointing and expensive reissue for Born This Way that deserved a fucking super deluxe edition. I hate how she tries to cover up her sassy artist past like it bothers her. Hypocrite Lady, give us what we've been waiting for years, Nothing but on the radio damn. Chromatica which was her real comeback could have been better, the desire and the promotion were not there. Too bad because there was potential on paper. But capricious as she is, she wanted to forget her except for advertising campaigns where she was paid millions. I wish she had made a live DVD for the Monster Ball Tour eras, how could she have forgotten that? We find ourselves 10 years later with videos certainly well done and worked on from fans but nothing official. It's frustrating. I love her despite everything but she is difficult to follow. She needs to relax. She has become too focused on business in general, makeup, the Oscars, she wants everything and touches everything. She wants to be the number 1 everywhere while abandoning her real job: musician. If we don't pay her millions she has no motivation to sing. It's not cool for the fans who follow her from the start. Yes I already posted a similar cobblestone this year but I'm still pissed at her because she hasn't given us much since 2016.

I wanted to talk about Lina here one day... It's a story that really upset me at the time and I watched a lot of videos about it... It's difficult because I think Lina existed, the videos prove it (her performances, a few shows) and she really suffered. Her mother had testified and had accused Lady Gaga, we can believe her (and I really like the artist and her music). She was ready to do anything to succeed, she trampled on everyone to make her way and was ruthless. Maybe not enough to kill, but who is it? She was already rich and knew the area, Lina seemed to be in more trouble so an easier target to exterminate. The show business is a dirty environment, where everything is allowed to be at the top. The references to Paparazzi, Monster, the cover of Alejandro and the fact that she never spoke publicly about Lina is strange. At least say a word, but not even, nothing. Explain this rumour. When I hear Tokkie (the adopted son of the duo Die Antwoord) talk about the satanic rites precisely done by these monsters, there is no denying that it exists and some are crazy enough to order murder or whatever. We will never know. But I really like Lina's music, and she would have been an absolutely promising, talented artist. I don't know what to think about it because I love Lady Gaga, but these things stay in the back of my mind. Do not close your eyes despite the talent.

It's not mean, and I respect other singers, but I think Lana is the only one to be the queen of her genre, to have developed it with incredible musical and artistic perfection. She's just perfect everywhere. She's kind of like the top of the class, she's got it all figured out. I think too many artists try to copy her, although they try to change a few things here and there, there is often an obsession in the background to copy what she does and her videos. It may not be their intention, but it's hardly laughable, and no one comes close to it. There is inspiration and inspiration and for many there is not. Since she became known, I have lost count of the number of "sad and aesthetic" artists who have appeared, it's nice but there are too many now. Lana deserves more credit. I'm not targeting her in particular, but Ethel Cain is a distant copy of Lana Del Rey for example, she sings well but people have to find their own universe like Lana built hers.

She's back, that's great news! Excited to listen her album, the other day I was just thinking "wow she hasn't released anything since 2016 when is she coming back?". We can trust her on the quality of the upcoming album, I can't get over Matangi's flop which was innovative for the time.

Damn, it's a tragedy. This guy participated in the magic of DM, he gave so much, it's really tragic. I can't explain how their music has saved my life many times, so many timeless classics. I think the band will die out, maybe not for touring but for albums I don't think they will replace it, DM had that very particular sound and progression in their discography. Anyway, Dave has gotten a worse voice over time (that's not bad), and their last album was faded, they have a really solid career, with amazing material. We were spoiled and I think they have something to feed the fans for many years. May he rest in peace.

Alright I guess they are still in a good relationship otherwise she wouldn't have mentioned her

She's been giving it her all these days, I can't believe how amazing the W magazine shoot is, damn she's amazing here. Everything is perfect, a real photo shoot, worthy of Mrs Lana Del Rey. Her trip to Italy (Portofino), she was absolutely radiant, her smile and her natural glamor in her flowery dresses were amazing. Her luxury handbags, dancing in the street. Flashback Honeymoon. Free and pretty. And New York, she was so good there! The Gucci fashion show and its queen looks. And this evening when she danced on the small stage she was sexy and uninhibited, she was really beautiful. There is this old thing that I find here and that I had missed so much, but in fact I realize that it was the fact of returning to one's roots and being in Europe. She really needs to leave LA to come and live in Europe. I can imagine her strolling through flower gardens and old castles while writing something romantic in an old notebook. LA I have the impression that she has exhausted everything down there, and that she no longer has the naturalness and the inspiration when she is there, she has done everything. I think she has changed (again) group of friends, and that it suits her better. I feel like she doesn't really hang out with superficial girls from the covid-Chemtrails period anymore. Are Lana and Courtney still talking to each other? Jack is Courtney's ex and I have a feeling she's been off with her for a little while, or I'm wrong.

10 years, how time flies. Lots of emotion here. Every time I listen to EH, I hear an album where Marina is a great actress. Each song stands out from each other, they each take us into a different dimension, a piece of film that we can shape endlessly with our imagination. I really liked that she interpreted this role to perfection, to move in the body of a fallen girl with Hollywood dreams and to do it so well is not given to everyone. Electra heart could be a movie as it is well done. This album is a real jewel, of a high quality. It is not exceeded, it still sounds fresh 10 years later. Shame on the media who boycotted Marina on her appearance and they didn't understand the meaning of her album which is not superficial, but on the contrary is written with such sincerity, truth that we perceive the emotions on each song . It will have cradled millions of people and given so many memories, sad or happy, I could never erase it. And the aesthetics ah so beautiful. Happy that she recognizes this album despite the difficult promotion it received and the bad memories it left in her. It is finally recognized and appreciated at its fair value. She deserves so much!!! One day we will have all the unreleased, a remastering of Miss Y and so many others ♥ Thank you Marina for what you gave us, and you haven't forgotten us, unlike some who preferred to sell us covers of ugly paintings for the 10th anniversary of an important album ------> <------ And a parenthesis on ADIAM, I found Marina active and devoted to her project. The album is very good even if some texts are squeaky, she was great in giving nice little clips, very beautiful outfits, songs to perfection, her proximity to the fans, the concerts (the concert in the desert was incredible, this sound and this professionalism!!) too bad he is not loved, I know he will find the respect he deserves in a few years. She doesn't have a lot of budget and we can see the perfection and the investment, I hope she will continue her next era with the same state of mind.

I agree, I really hope for an album like LFL which was really good overall. It was refreshing after the darkness of Honeymoon, the pale colors, a beach album lighter than the others and more pop. She was in a more commercial direction while keeping her universe and her magnificent singing with all that we know of her. It smelled so much like summer, the beach with a little sorcerer side. But I think unfortunately that we will have another version of Chemtrails diluted (family work, ethereal voice, the piano, Jack, quiet life). Not that I don't like that she works as a family (I find it beautiful how she created a kind of family business where everyone has their place and can work without pressure), I know that she needs it to keep her down on Earth but I hope that one day she will break away from this family atmosphere to isolate herself to make a fiercer album with more audacity. Lana has a remarkable voice, I would love for her to try a black trip-hop album à la Portishead, shoegaze, while integrating heavy guitars like Ultraviolence, all filmed with a baroque decor and an old VHS camcorder. Well I'm dreaming, we'll see what she comes up with, she seems to really love life since she got closer to her family... Well let's forget about Patty who doesn't seem to be included or interested.

I don't know what to think of this guy. He has an incredible fortune, a dream life, a head full of ideas, he's on top of the world but I don't think it's so "anti-system" as that, even if his thoughts may seem clear-cut enough to a billionaire, it's thanks to this system that he is here today. I am one of those who think that the ultra rich, especially the big billionaires like Musk, do not make a fortune in the wind, without sacrifice. There are bound to be some very dark things underneath. They are disconnected people, and letting them run the world (because all you need is money) is worrying. I am also talking about all these billionaires who race to conquer space, for whom? For the rich, the elite. They don't care about the environment, they don't care and live in their world. They are told nothing. I would like to be positive but I think we must not lose sight of these people, who are very clever. Now if Elon buys Twitter, I don't think the platform becomes more interesting, it will remain a trash can, smaller but a trash can nonetheless. He would do better to invest this money to improve more down to earth things: shelters for animals in distress, improve the lives of the sick, but hey, we all know that billionaires will never do actions without receiving money behind. He is in a race where he wants to finish first, like his "buddies". Sad world where everything is controlled with money. I heard that his mother is a black magician and would have used it on Musk, I don't know if that's true. I know Grimes is into that weird stuff.

I think like you for Coachella. I liked the hippie side, free and authentic. The video when she sang this song in acapella was wonderful, it felt sincere. And then once on LFL I never really liked the song because the arrangements weren't great... It was bland, transparent and it suffered from bad lyricism, a bit like Arcadia. And this title "Coachella - Woodstock in my mind" is really corny, too long. As much as she can have genius when she does it in simplicity, as much as it was missed. But we salute the effort.

Haven't listened to the album yet but BANKS is one of those who have their own universe and made some classics among the albums released. As some say here, The Altar was amazing. I hope she does a dark pop album like Trainwreck which has been my favorite from her for years.
-
Yes I think the same. I hope she will be alone!

You won't believe me if I tell you that I've never listened to a Taylor song in my life, I don't even know what she sings, I've superficially heard songs like that on TV but I have always zapped. I know the girl, the albums but nothing musical. I don't know why she doesn't interest me at all, like Selena Gomez (I never managed to listen to a single one of her songs entirely), who have absolutely disproportionate success in relation to what they do and the music they come out but I guess it's the lottery and in this environment contacts help a lot. I guess they're adorable in private life, but musically it doesn't work. Nevertheless, if Lana sings with Taylor it will really be to listen to her title that I would listen to Taylor, for the first time and it has to be good. Obviously, I respect those who love her, each artist has her audience.

Pour the hate on me but, I had some hope with the exotic side she had lately (her looks, back to motels, bad boys, Lanita...) but seeing her with Jack has m got cold. I was really hoping not to see this again but I have a feeling we're going to drag Jack around for quite a while, so Lana's albums will be boring and pointless. The critics definitely extinguished all the flame that was in her, NFR! should never have been so acclaimed because they are going to want to recreate this success and it's not good. I expect to be disappointed again for the next opus. Fortunately, "Cult leader" leaked, it helps to find a good and melodious Lana. I don't like Taylor Swift either, but I guess it's going to delight a lot of fans. As a fan of the first hour it's a continual nightmare

Although it's a cover, this song obsessed me for a while in 2015, her voice is so beautiful.. RIP Avicii we miss you.

Her best boyfriend was Barrie and I think he influenced her positively in the musical field. I hope she will find a musician boyfriend with as much talent so that she can start making a good album. She must return to live in New York.
-
Agree with that! She reached all that too early and quickly, it was quite incredible the way she chained hits, clips, appearances, there was such a big hype that she couldin't miss it. Haha it's not my favorite but I like Teeth, it's a strange title but it goes well with TFM.

Absoutely. Gaga is a big star of our time and I don't think anyone in pop can top her right now. Absolutely, it's a shame how little investment she's had during covid, she has all the luxury of making beautiful videos of her house and all she's given is miserable stuff on Green background. She doesn't want to anymore.
-
Oh yeah I hadn't thought of that! I remember the SL music video that had a huge buzz and 15 days after the global lockdown happened... Interesting, we know she doesn't like flops. Yes with reflection it is better that she is invested in an activity that she likes rather than dirtying her discography, let's hope that she finds the flame one day.
