well... i personally hope they're doing alright and everything is okay between them, maybe he deactivated because of her crazy fanbase, i think that's sensible, i don't know why people are making a joke out of it or saying she should go back to a toxic relationship

I posted this in the BuS thread last night, but here's a photograph of them from January 2014, as Nikki stated in the interview that they have known each other for a long time -

Just thinking about how cool it would be if Lana did a painted album cover like Joni Mitchell but also had hand-pressed flowers onto it like she and Chuck often do (which Chuck posted about doing to her IG story a few days ago and tagged Lana).  I think it would be so beautiful so I made this

I agree. For me, it is her best by far. It's the only LDR album I can place on 'shuffle' and enjoy all the songs (except one, which I can listen to, but just don't much care for). I love songs like 'Old Money,'  '13 Beaches,' and 'The Greatest,' but I find myself really pleased with this album of generally lighter, brighter, more 'positive' songs, which are also dreamy and wistful in a good way. It doesn't seem self-conscious at all. I'm thrilled with the buoyancy of 'Wild At Heart,' it's like the old LDR again, who I miss. I think 'Yosemite,' if there's any justice, will go on to be covered by a lot of artists in the coming years and decades, and 'White Dress' as well.

From the first day it was announced, I had a quiet, secure good feeling that COCC would be good--I guess it was intuition. I never worried. I didn't care for at least half of 'NFR!', but I like Jack's production on COCC, and of course Rick's on 'Yosemite.'

Has anyone figured out what the two presumably male voices are saying in the background on 'NATWW'?

most ppl dont like random interviews like this but i think its sweet to just know what shes up to. it wouldve made more sense for rolling stone to focus more on the music but its nice hearing her talk about her grandma, lake placid and elliott smith nonetheless

So after listening to the album for the past week I have to say that it’s as good as her other albums, I personally can’t even rank them, I love them all in different ways…
My fave song is Yosemite, wow what a stunning track, love the cinematic, epic, witchy production… and lana sounds amazing on it. It’s the Heroin of COCC. The bridge gives me goosebumps, it’s so dreamy, I love when she inserts spoken word like this, Burnt Norton, 13 Beaches…

My other top song is White Dress… it’s so catchy! i adore her raw, imperfect vocals on this, giving me almost Janis Joplin vibes in the chorus. the production is really interesting, cinematic and intricate. It’s great that she’s experimenting with her voice, using both her higher and lower register throughout the album…

I also love the title track, Tulsa Jesus Freak, Wild At Heart, Dark But Just A Game, Not All Who Wander Are Lost

At first I was a little disappointed by the three closing tracks, they seemed weak in comparison to the closers on LFL and NFR, but I’m coming around to them, they really fit the vibe of this album… Breaking Up Slowly is too short though… Dance Till We Die is kinda different for lana, she sounds like a true rock chick in the bridge!

but what's confusing is why the person who designed the font deleted/archived their post saying they designed it....

designing the font = album is probably real and somewhat planned out. but deleting the repost of lana's announcement = different release date? maybe it was a joke after all? i have no clue and its super weird to me...

but also i'll note it's still on her LDR story highlights thing. so she didn't do a super thorough job of cleaning it off her page, suggesting it wasn't some big order from ben and ed to immediately get rid of it? maybe just personal preference? i have no idea and it's stressing me out because the only non-lana confirmation we has pretty much disappeared

What is with DailyMail always misidentifying her family & friends skkk ID'ing Chuck as Jobie, Tatiana as Chuck, and Candace as Patty.. it's really not that hard to google pictures of her family members and check if the person in the photo is actually them

Finally listened to all the instrumentals and wow they are really beautiful
This album might be more stripped back instrumentally then NFR! but the production on COTCC is so good and feels rich
Her vocal delivery on this album is amazing and carry the tracks but the instrumentals are actually really good as well and I noticed some things in the  instrumentals I haven't heard before. White Dress, Title Track, Tulsa Jesus Freak & Dance Till We Die are stunning. LMLYLAW,  DBJAG, Wild At Heart, Not All Who Wander ( it's so peaceful) , For Free & Yosemite are so beautiful as well. Breaking Up Slowly instrumental is haunting though
After hearing the instrumentals I love the album even more

Listening to the instrumentals of Breaking Up Slowly and considering that's she's in her country phase I would LOVE if she went on experimenting maybe with western rock, especially something orchestral like Ennio Morricone
here's the type of sound I would love to hear:

I think we probably are getting a rock album, just with a more prominent country/western influence or maybe desert rock. Maybe something like The Eagles?? Maybe some surf elements?? Wasn’t everyone begging for surf rock some albums ago lmao

edit(so I don’t double post): we WANT spaghetti western!!!! This is what we are manifesting!!!!!

wild at heart sampling how to dissapear was a cute moment because they're about the same guy, it's pretty cool in my opinion, it's kinda like how she used methamphetamine's melody for old money
