Just finished listening to the album and wow, that was amazing  I respect her for taking the experimental route when everyone thought that they had her figured out. It's also certainly one way to scare away fake fans

This album is actually so incredible and atmospheric. Tbh I get that it isn’t some people’s thing but to me, it is such a signature Ethel record. Like almost every song on this record sounds like it stems from something unreleased or on PD. Genuinely convinced anyone shocked or truly turned off by this record hasn’t listened to anything besides her top 5 songs on Spotify lmao.

I’m on the subway and decided now would be a good time to listen to this album for the first time. Literally me rn:

i could never get into preacher's daughter but am liking perverts a lot

i liked perverts but i do wish we got more vocal songs 😭 punish, onanist, and amber waves are soooooo good
thatorchia and etienne are my favorite non vocal songs
 
the songs with vocals remind me of ad nauseam kind of and it’s kinda making me yearn for an ad nauseam perverts rework

I cannot put into words how excited I am for Perverts, especially with houseofpsychoticwomn getting released

I'm gonna say it.... I'm kind of tired of the country music trend right now. I'm sure it'll be fine because it'll sound just like the rest of her poetry over a country beat style she's done for the last few albums but sigh. But I'm still gonna listen with an open heart.

lord jesus now we gonna be wondering and asking about the “LASSO” concept before it got changed. it’s the same damn shit every era !!!!! 

Sorry to be a downer but damn I was so excited for where she was gonna after Ocean Blvd and right now it seems like we are just getting another half baked slow ballad record, and with the date and cover antics I just can’t get myself excited for it. Not at least until we have some more info I guess. 

Especially when this album is supposed to have been in the works for like four-five years. I have high expectations for the songs, and it’d be sad if the cover art doesn’t match the hard work she’s put into this project.
