The 70's were the most relevant musical decade, closely followed by the 80's, then the 60's and the 90's. Only a few songs have been written in the last few years that will still be known or interesting in a few decades.

Lana’s fondness of Morgan Wallen’s bro-country music actually worries me  I get you can like whatever music you like but after giving it a listen it’s HOT GARBAGE (and not in a campy way!) let’s hope no influence creeps into her new music..it would be much more reassuring if she enjoyed Zach Bryan’s newest album (which was GREAT) but for now all I know is she really likes Morgan Wallen..

I don’t see her release any « new » music before the Grammy’s. But the unreleased collection or cover’s release could be an « unofficial way » of campaigning…

I wonder when the first single from LDR10 will be released. She don't seem to be planning any time off next year to concentrate on the album. Is it almost finished? Or is it planned for a much later date? We might know more by the end of the year.

One thing I've recently realised I do is that if I'm not listening to the whole albums anyway I'm often listening to Lana in "chunks" by which I mean specific track runs I really like and think of as distinct units. It's comparatively rare for me to jump around from song to song but of course I do it with unreleased and with my favourites sometimes.

it depends, sometimes i can get really fixated on a certain artist or even just a certain album (right now it's loveless by my bloody valentine) recently i've also found myself fixated on opal, also mazzy star, and specifically the lizzy grant music of 2007, honestly i find myself gravitated more towards her 2005-2007 work most  but obviously i still love her most recent work and lately i've been obsessed with candy necklace  who knows, maybe i'll find myself fixated on ultraviolence or something like that in the future, but regardless, her pre-fame, lizzy grant work is always an easy listen for me

I actually made a thread like this one before, but instead of following suit w a smart aleck comment, I do wanna say:

    - Cherry in the bath is a surprise recharge. and is an overall mood of a listen
    - Peppers whenever
    - Brooklyn Baby's perfect for the beach
    - Ocean Blvd when I wanna feel understood

I like pacing the songs out and extending the moments with them regardless of what, and when I personally feel like the moment needs to progress or pass, I turn the music off soon after. I think that's why I like her interludes if anything

What are your Lana listening habits? Do you listen to her every day? Is there a particular album or song that you play religiously? Do you listen to her more or less compared to other artists?

I listen to music every day and Lana makes up a chunk of my music library, but I try to sprinkle it across, so that I’m not overplaying. I can think of a few artists in the past that I played too often and it kind of diminished the effect. I bet I have more of her songs in my library than I do for any other artist and my interest only continues to grow, but I do listen to other music too!

There are certain songs of hers that are my go-tos when I’m in my feels.

Sometimes I will sit down and listen to an individual LDR record from start to finish. I should do this more often…

Once in a while I’ll just put her entire library on shuffle and listen to it for hours until it’s been all or mostly covered. That’s what I’m doing today since it’s been a while. When I had a long road trip to the last show of hers I went to, I did the same thing. It really set the tone and mood of the event.

Something that inevitably happens when I play her full library on shuffle is that I’ll rediscover a song of hers that I initially overlooked. It’s a nice change of pace. I know that she’s only had nine official releases, but it feels like so much more than that. Maybe it’s because she’s evolved so much as an artist and that her library is quite diverse.

I don’t think there’s been a thread like this before? But someone let me know if there is one.

I’ve been to the last two (2022 and this year). Unfortunately not going to next year’s as I want to try something new but they were both very fun!! 2022 was their first festival after COVID so it was messy but the lineup was amazing, which made it worth it. There were some glaring issues in 2022, mainly with crowding in bigger stages and limited water refill stations, which was mostly fixed in 2023 (however the lineup wasn’t as good as 2022 so I don’t think it was as popular/crowded). Food and drink is very fairly priced. I’m from the US so it was surprising that the festival starts at 4pm and ends at like 6am the next day - the headliners are likely end at 2am each day. The weather is always perfect since Barcelona is by the beach, Barcelona is just a great city in general, and it’s an overall experience of a lifetime imo. The lineup is probably a godsend to us here at LB but I don’t think it’s amazing for the general public, so I suspect it will be more similar to 2023 than the hectic 2022. Lana is for sure the biggest draw, so expect her day and set to have the worst crowds. Overall, it’s amazing festival and for me, it’s been so worth it every time (I would try to spend another week or so in Barcelona/Spain just to make it worth it).

let me know if you have any questions! I can talk about PS all day long

The problem is that people always blame the other side for everything (whether they are right or not). Everyone should first solve the problems on their own doorstep, the Palestinians should ask themselves if they are trivializing the terror of Hamas too much or distancing themselves from it too little, and the Israelis should actually realize that they are constantly increasing the terror and hatred against them with their military actions, violations of international law, and illegal settler activities.
