Truth is Sky fucked up her own career regardless of label interference, there's countless indie acts pop or otherwise that have released DISCOGRAPHIES in between her >5 single drops since her last album album released in Twenty-fucking-Thirteen. There really is no excuse for her.
 
She should've just done what Charli did & released albums and just marketed them as mixtapes.  I'm a Sky fan sine 99 Tears & will still listen to whatever she puts out, but she herself is dumb and it's sad to see her own career be self-sabotaged

I don’t think working with Dr Luke is destroying Kim’s career. Sure, she has received some minor backlash for creating a sex themed EP with a rapist but most fans don’t know or don’t care.
 
Her career right now is in a rough spot due to label issues, the system clearly is not working for her and I wouldn’t be surprised if she is dropped. I can’t see the album coming out anytime soon, due to the amount of conflict that has come out of trying to release even 1 single that both sides are on board with. 
 
She has a cult following and most casual fans are just patiently waiting for the next single, she will be fine. 

why can’t people just accept that kim is a bit of a shitty person who would rather work with a huge pop producer than support kesha

Seeing people on this thread talk about Kim's new EP being a masterpiece makes me want to sob. It's the worst thing she's ever released and I dreaded talking about it because of how much it made me cringe.

fuck dr. luke but i don’t want it at all is such pop perfection. it’s a perfect debut single, kim could’ve had an okay discography if she had a thought-out rollout plan with the era 1 singles. imagine an album with i don’t want it all, heart to break, slow it down, hillside boys - who wouldn’t want that?

her career really went downhill, if she can't keep her moral integrity at least keep the artistic integrity, like, ripping off slayyyter? what was she thinking

I'm not even gonna lie she's ABSOLUTELY serving face and body in this era. Her outfits are everything and her makeup and hair always looks flawless. The only issue is the music that she's releasing!!! I'm glad I'm not the only one who isn't a huge fan of some of the singles that have been put out so far. Baby is my fav, Good Ones is a bop buuuut she sampled Mirrors by Natalia Kills so I'd honestly rather listen to that if I were to choose between the two, Beg for You is... okay, New Shapes is NOT for me. The more singles she releases the less I have hope for the album, which makes me sad because I was so excited for it  I don't want to criticize her too much because she's THE Charli XCX, she knows how to blow everyone away, but this era is not doing it for me right now. This bitch KNOWS how to pull off mainstream, 'industry plant' pop because she's practically done it before. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that she's getting some more recognition and I'm happy that she's happy. I just need the album to pop off and change my mind because my current thoughts based on the singles aren't super positive.

yes, this is what i mean. I dont see the point of making this EP and even if its just "for fun" i dont even see the appeal of "fun" and reason to be "fun" (or be "slutty" in this case).
Even for someone like cupcakKe - as nasty, sexual as she can be (that imo one of the most extreme artists ive ever heard), i still see the point of why cupcakKe making these songs & their value plus they are super fun to listen to. 
 
In Kim's case, she's trying too hard to be a "slut".
