What do you mean by "learn things from the production experts"?? If you listen to The 1975 you can tell that he can polish a track and make it sound pristine if he wants to. The style of production they are trying to achieve on these songs is totally intentional. Mean Girls carries over a lot of the same style as Hot Girl, but the Club Classics version she played on her instagram stories is what I am really excited to hear!!

there's absolutely no doubt he generally is a capable producer and I find some of his work with Charli to be quite enjoyable as well. I just can't help feeling that his (released) production for Charli so far hasn't been nearly as detailed and textured as what the likes of A.G and EASYFUN bring to the table when working with Ms XCX. but I absolutely adore the production on Mean Girls even tho it most definitely will have some kind of nuance from the album version so I just predict that I will enjoy his production on brat far more from what I already do with songs like Hot Girl and The WTMI Remix

Oh... If it is, then it will either be a single or we are getting a remix album at some point because the version she posted on instagram stories will be a remix.
There seems to be multiple versions to many songs so I can totally see a remix album somewhere in the future. And if spring breakers is not on the album it can find a place there as a bonus track, or a b-side to one of the upcoming singles. I think it would work great as a Mean Girls b-side.

I think you should temper this expectation now or this album will disappoint you. She keeps telling us this is a club album. Club music is by nature minimal and repetitive. There might be 2-3 "bridges" on the entire album. Most songs will probably only have 1 verse... This is not a pop album, which means she is not even attempting to make fleshed out pop songs. The sooner everyone gets on board with the new song structures (or the lack thereof) the sooner you'll start appreciating the songs for what they are.

If we want to talk about deserving effort from the artists we stan, maybe we shouldn't also be the stans that, when the artist puts in the effort, leak their songs online  This is the album cover we deserve.

This fanbase must be enraging her constantly!!! I don't know why people who are fans of her don't want to let her lay her vision out. I understand people wanting to be critical, but the attitude on here can sometimes be: I don't like this therefore this is bad. I, and others are loving this (potential) album cover. The album is rumored for a June release, that's just 3-4 months from now. In that time there could be remix packs with features, extended mixes, another single with more remixes, a Boiler Room set will drop on YouTube soon (possibly also for streaming on Apple Music like the last one), etc... Why is everyone saying this is a slow and long rollout?! Relax guys. When Troye teased Rush for months he ended up getting huge reach for the song and even Grammy noms. I want this album to be huge for her. If that means a longer rollout and some annoying marketing tricks then whatever. The music we are getting sounds worth it.
