Marketing classes are going to be studying sans serif font on green background square after this for fucking sure.
This shit went from dividing the fandom squarely into two camps of "it's so ironic I love it" and "it's fucking horrifyingly ugly", to becoming an initial meme where anything neon green = the album. Now it's Digivolved turned into this aggressively opaque and dadaist concept where anything can just be 'so brat' if it's unexpected or vaguely feminine or edgy or out of the norm or totally in-the-norm but only if it's done with an attitude or if it's just giving green, even if it's not exactly green but it just feels like it should be green so we just roll with it, or if it's giving like spoiled rich kid at the club with an 8 ball and a dimebag ready to go, but at the same time it's also giving country club pool with big hat and sunglasses and a Voss.
Hot girl smoking a cigarette? So French, so chic. BRAT.
Lime green car? Cunty. BRAT.
Hot take on a podcast? So bold, so BRAT.
Show up to work 17.3 minutes late with an iced coffee? Casual disdain for punctuality and consequences. BRAT.
Don't put the weights back at the gym? Rebel against common decency. BRAT.
Straight edge sober trip sitter for all the hippies at the local k-hole basement? Maternal. BRAT.
Empty roll of toilet paper? How dare that little cylinder starve your hole for cleanliness. BRAT.
Summer indie music festival attendee? Be part of that zeitgeist. BRAT.
Major political party figurehead drops out of a race and you take their place? So unexpected, but also logical. BRAT.

I can't tell you where or I'll get zapped, but the USB files and a HQ vinyl rip of the 7" of B2b/CC were put out there, in a few places, and I may or may not have had a hand in it. You'll have to look a little.

Idgaf if the whole Brat thing has been run into the ground. I love seeing Charli get this huge moment with a bunch of overexposure. Brat becoming so big that they’re using it as promo for a presidential campaign with it being discussed on CNN and Fox News is very funny to me. It’s obvs very corny but it’s cool to see her get this type of moment that’s so huge and will leave an impact and will never be able to be recreated (though many will try). Many of us on here have always seen Charli’s greatness, and now the rest of the world’s catching up.
I think a lot of people are taking a lot of Brat-related stuff way too seriously when it’s all been the full opposite of serious. Like how people were losing their minds over her tweeting “kamala IS brat”. Her troll-y tweet that she probs didn’t even think twice about creating all this discourse and blowing up the way it did is Very funny. It’s amazing to me how she managed to create this huge moment in pop culture.

Whilst I do think it’s disingenuous for politics to latch onto pop culture for political gain- I do think it’s interesting how otherwise niche or other internet culture seems to be gaining a major platform on tik tok that influences big events in history etc.

good old times when she would just party and relax for a few seconds underneath the dj table during pop 2 afterparties
not judging tho. She was still flawless afterwards

I want a;
- Tame Impala/Ultraviolence style psychedelic rock album with a lot of synths
- Another hyper futuristic sounding album (Pop 2 esque)
- An ACTUAL rave album maybe with more ‘rapping’ in Shygirl style (like Spring Breakers, 5 in the morning etc)
