Let’s not forget when LMLYLAW dropped Lana still thought the album was coming December/January. It wasn’t until November she found out about the vinyl process taking longer than it used to. She typically only waits roughly 3 months between lead single and the album. I do think Tough was teased too quickly, especially for how hard it was teased. We got a snippet, and a video tease all in the span of a week just to go back to silence, but I’m also not surprised because I know who we stan, and I never expected Tough last month.
 
Tunnel’s name was randomly leaked on her YouTube videos, and we didn’t know we were getting a single when we got the preorder/announcement so insiders being silent doesn’t really concern me tbh. I think Lana’s team has taken extra steps to make sure her stuff isn’t leaked 

Whom are we talking about?  BoZ is almost nowhere to be seen and rarely spills about anyone anymore, Eclipse usually spills later on in the pre-era… Kintsugi, well, it might have been a « one-time access » with OB. As for the rest of the bunch who knows stuff, they keep their info for themselves like a secret society or something…

True and who knows what will be her strategy this time around. But I guess I wishfully think (and hope) we’ll get a similar rollout to Ocean Blvd: lead coming with the preorder. Many artists do it this year, but it’s not what everyone is doing either. I love a cute little single before lead + preorder, but with Lana, once I get down from my little cloud 9, I can’t help but be a bit anxious about when the rest of the album is coming… « NFR PTSD » is real, y’all

But Lana dropped LMLYLAW as a little song before Chemtrails Lead came out. Maybe Tough is like a little thing before the lead

I mean, tomorrow will be 28 days or so since the little teaser we got, and it's Friday. It's not outside the realm of possibilities that the single would drop. Especially since Billie is done with her rollout.
 
A month is more than enough to edit a 3 minute music video.
 
But yeah, with the way things are, I doubt this will happen. 

I can’t say that I often agree with @Xenoblade 3, but I do agree with them on Tough being teased way too soon…  Henry is a bit different: like Cinnamon, Tulsa or Candy Necklace, those weren’t the lead singles of their album, unlike Tough.

-> wake up excited hoping it’s a midnight release and New Zealand gets it first
 
-> stay delusional for the entire day anticipating and hoping it’s still a midnight US timezone release
 
( -> cry and fume on Friday about Tough not being released, lose the hype yet beg insiders for a crumb of info and call Lana a flop)

Lust for life I don’t really blame her since Love leaked early and messed everything up, and we were constantly fed that era, but we didn’t get a release date “July 21st fam” until like May, and that was after everyone thought it was coming in May because of that magazine or whatever spilling a random (probably original) date 
 
 
tbh I’m trying to be optimistic, but not a single insider (even the twitter iNsIdErS) has a single thing to say about Tough or Lasso so I’m getting a bit nervous that we’re even further away still than we think 

She and her team (whoever is responsible) needs to stop teasing things so early. 1 week is good. 2 weeks is stretching it. This months out teasing is not it.
This type of teasing is absolutely horrible. Have a set plan for once.
 
From the leaked lyrics, it’s an inspirational uplifting self-love song about surviving through hard times, being proud of who you are and where you’re from. You’re “tough”. Very fitting into the things that she’s been saying about wanting to reach more people with classic songs. That is a very broad and universal message. 
 
This could very well be her signature self-love anthem ala “Flowers”, “Born This Way”, “Fireworks”, etc. It could be a gay anthem or a black community anthem. The feature fits too. It speaks to many demographics.

Title Track, A&W, Candy Necklace, Kintsugi, Fingertips and Paris Texas are career highlights me.

Getting back to the airbnb after the show was...a whirlwind
 
She was ethereal, this was my first time seeing her live. Even with a mid setlist, it's so much less noticable when you're actually there, time flew by so quickly. Maybe if you see the same show 10 times, it'd get boring with all the ballads - i think at certain points the setlist doesnt really flow...i always said i wanted Bartender to be cut, but it actually fits so much better than NFR imo
 
I may be missing the whole concept but to me it gave off this roaring 20s extravaganza mansion with all the dancers running around the stage. But it starts off all dark and creepy as if its long been forgotten and we just watch 1 hour of their ghosts playing around and it ends with the jazzy "will you still love me", they dance around with the champagne bottles and then all disappear and we get that same somber and desolate mansion. Kinda gave me Rebecca by Hitchcock vibes in a way.
 
 
Anyways, i loved it, it was worth the heat and the backpain and everything. Definitely gonna get pit tickets next time though.
 
Also her vocals were on point, she might not sing hope and only 3 lines from West Coast were live, BUT when she goes for it, she nails it.
 
And the first warm up act Clara is getting some streams from me
