I love her and she’s really talented but why does she have to be so cringe sometimes? And not even in a funny meme way 

Honestly, at this point the chances of us getting a film seem to be growing slimmer. They've not approved a budget for it yet, and I don't think they're likely to approve one in the future because while Portals is doing relatively well, I don't think it's doing well enough to justify a multi-million dollar budget to make another film especially with such a short tour making it harder for Melanie to bring in the large profits she needs to show Atlantic that a Portals film would be a worthwhile investment. If the budget for a second film were approved, most fans would be wanting new music instead of visuals for a 2-3 year old album (by the time a film could be casted, costumed, shot, edited, etc). Melanie's best bet for commercial success is to do music videos for 3-4 of the best songs of this era (Tunnel Vision/Faerie Soiree double feature would be great, and a Sirens MV would be another awesome thing to see from her) and work towards having MM4 ready in the next few years instead of taking another four year hiatus. 

the deluxe tracks, i think are a really nice edition to the album!! tbh, i think pluto could’ve replaced death on the standard version.
i think it does a good job at showing past life regression therapy better than the standard track.

Milk of the Siren final is magnificent, really happy she released this one after me stanning it for like two years
 
Of course rest in peace to the beloved leaked tracks like Garden, Synchronicities, Needle and Thread, etc. Melanie scraps masterpieces from all her projects (like the amount of spectacular unreleased she has is part of why I love her so much), she's not going to release 30+ track albums so it's not super shocking, but anyways… forever in our hearts.

.... I didn't think Leches was all that. I also thought the album felt concise and finished. Pluto is cute though.

it’s moreso in aesthetic details than hard continuity. tbh it’s more than a nitpick than anything else i’ll admit that.
crybaby’s timeline based off of aesthetics jump from from 1960s, to victorian frilly lolita (style that emerged in the 80s), to 2000s.
i understand aesthetics change and she wants the story to be timeless, but a lot of the jumps just irk me.
as i said more of a nitpick than anything else i’ll be fair.

there was a lot of changes throughout the crybaby storyline.
crybaby was originally going to be named melatonin, with crybaby as a nickname.
jump rope was a last minute replacement as well, so she kinda threw the wolf storyline together out of her ass

i get melanie’s had a ton of inspiration from the early 2000s. Chain mail was a huge thing  early 2000s wise, but this is just really cringey.
this feels like something a 12 year old would make. 
i really come off like an asshole, but if melanie wants to be taken seriously as an artist she can’t be pulling shit like this. doing stuff to try and “boost” streams does nothing but come off childish & make it look like she knows the album she released is shit. 
 
+ i get that the “4 years ago” is a reference to k-12 being released 4 years ago, but it further adds to my theory melanie has sacrificed her story and continuity for aesthetic. Which with her being a heavily concept driven artist, is not the move to do.
 
im really trying to root for her, she has a ton of potential. esp with mm3 leaks, however i feel like she’s stunting herself artistically.
