  1. she's from the same area as me and unfortunately many people here do not trust her at all, especially a lot of POC. feeling heartbroken tbh it would've been so cool to see the first woman president that was also from my area win
  2. I left for a couple hours and time to start the panic button but it’s probably gonna take a couple days to finish. Maybe I should follow through and finally get my mexican citizenship
  3. I think we need some deep breathing exercises it is still early I’m personally a fan of the 4-7-8 breathing exercise Breathe in 4 seconds hold 7 seconds and breathe out 8 seconds everyone prayers <3
  4. I’ve seen so many people online say that being president isn’t a woman’s job. It’s honestly ridiculous. I can’t believe it’s 2024 and people STILL say that
  5. A lot of Californians that have moved to states like Texas tend to move there because they don’t agree with CA politics/taxes/cost of living. many are republicans from what I’ve seen. But not everyone is so there’s a chance they’ll make it more blue. I doubt it’s enough for Kamala to win there though
  6. it’s still pretty early to make a lot of judgements so I will be trying to place my panic attack on hold for at least another hour or two
  7. wasn't Florida a swing state in the past though? I thought they've become more red in recent years. I don't think she'll win FL either way though so
  8. Florida is a lot closer than I expected at least so far. I thought they were more red but I know its still super early. it would be hilarious if trump lost his home state while he's having his watch party there
  9. kamala is at her alma mater Howard university and trump is at west palm beach in florida. they have watch parties basically
  10. this is so scary I hope nothing actually happens and people stay safe <3
  11. Trump also wants to appoint elon as “secretary of cost cutting”
  12. Pretty sure they’re from a blue state so their vote isn’t going to do much
  13. Personally could never trust a professional like a doctor for example, if I knew they were a rapist/liar/etc. let alone associate myself with someone like that. So why would I want someone like that to run the country. Plenty of people who worked with him in the White House while he was president don’t trust him and expressed their concern what a second presidency could mean. If other doctors didn’t trust one doctor in their clinic, don’t think that’s the doctor I’d trust with my body.
  14. @baddisease is like the groundhog on groundhogs day predicting whether there will be an early spring or not but instead decides the election
  15. Proud of u girly <3 voting is important not only on a national level, but also state and local. I know it was a hard decision for you, but you did the right thing
  16. True but also I’m gonna be anxious about whatever happens after either way let’s hope we don’t have cheeto man in office for another 4 years there's so much tension
  17. ms Gaga performing at the Kamala rally rn
  18. Well I’m just glad Kamala replaced Biden because trump would've 100% won if that never happened. Obviously a lot of people disagree with some of her stances on issues which is totally fair but the chances of trump losing are a lot higher than before. So that’s something to be optimistic about
  19. There’s been an increase over the past few elections with mail in/absentee ballots and I believe this year has been the highest. It takes time to process mail in and provisional ballots unfortunately since they have to verify them and are accepted up to Election Day. Also each state has their own rules when they start processing them. It’s annoying though wish we knew the results by the end of the night A couple swing states including Pennsylvania and Wisconsin don’t start counting mail ins until morning of Election Day. Some states allow provisional ballots days after election. But most states accept and start processing mail ins days if not weeks before.
  20. I feel like this would make sense and he did lose some support from some of the Republican Party over the last few years. But I’ve also seen more people in support of him that weren’t before a couple years ago so idk
