Lonely Is The Muse, Dog Years and Arsonist are easily some of my favourites finds this year and I wholeheartedly disagree. No fucking Chappell Roan, Sabrina Something, Charli vroom vroom, even Marina mother nature or Lana jimmy cocoa puff wrote anything like that lately. I don't give a *** about someone thinking she has a main character complex, she's her own explorer and it's her music and from what I've gathered she knows how to write something for people to relate to instead of coming up with tunes that she herself only makes the connections from, unlike some in the industry.

yes the diamonds were supposed to be her fans, whilst 111 was right and she’s said things like ‘no I don’t love you, I don’t know you’ she has, in the MATD era at least, been very vocal about how grateful she is to her fans as she wouldn’t be able to do what she does without the support of them. especially in the FROOT era as the success of the album was due to the fanbase, it’s why it’s still held in such high regard, and imo why some fans are missing that ‘hit’ of recognition now.
 
the truth is I don’t think we’ll ever get MATD levels of interaction again because she’s not in her 20s anymore. it’s not that 39 year olds can’t be ‘with it’ but I think she’s made it clear she doesn’t want to be ‘with it’/on social media anymore. (and as she’s blocking teenagers for mild reviews of her poetry that’s probably for the best)

I’m not sure why she (or her team) didn’t think to make the event shorter if she didn’t actually have anything to say for 2hrs, if it was an hour and she stayed even 10 minutes longer with some faux ‘omg I really have to go but you guys are great’ everyone would be hyping her up right now. yes parasocial relationships in this current age are going too far, but you have to foster them a bit or people ‘notice’ they’re being sold something. after all it’s not regular poetry readers are buying her book, it’s her fans.

in other news she said the album is finishing production so I’m wondering about the schedule. I don’t think we’ll get a single this year as it’s cutting it a bit fine, but she has the 10 year anniversary of FROOT in March so will she release a single, promote that then jump back to m6? seems a bit messy but it would be on brand.

I think it's just so...mean that people not only decided to drop her the moment L+F didn't sound bright, but also just shit on her nonstop. No one's telling you to read her poetry, if you don't like her anymore then just unfollow and move along. 
 
As for the poetry itself, "Aspartame" is pretty shocking (complimentary). I can understand if you find it, poetry-wise, weak, but it's still a fucking revelation in a way her music wasn't able to convey before. Also blunt. As a fan, I find it fascinating to read that and then link up with the lyrics and stories that she shared for the past ~15 years. The way you can read Hollywood in another light, you understand a lot of her "America Obsession" and so on. I haven't been up with everything posted, but I also remember how that "Sparkling Clam" can be connected to Solitaire; it's a deep dive on her mind and life.
 
Maybe the problem was labelling it as poetry and the expectations that comes with it.

i think it's really beautiful what she made, i'm looking forward to the whole project even though i wasn't having really good expectations when it got announced.

I LOVED that poem, it's like a prequel to Seventeen song. I loved the audio version as well. I want to hug her, I'm glad she's doing better now 

I don’t care too much about the poetry (although I am connecting with it more now that it’s spoken) but I’m obsessed with the background music and vocals. I hope that’s a taste of what’s to come

the die life-electra heart outtakes not making the final cut was a good decision imo. specifcally scab & plaster, miss y and bump in the night, to me i feel like they could've been rewritten and reworked to fit the albums concept better, but im glad they were left out. they just have outsider energy lyrically and sonically. + i have no idea where theyd fit on the tracklist at all
 
and similar to what you said about zodiac ending up as filler if it was included, miss y & bump in the night would 100% too

To me, HM is the best album when it comes to the final cut/song selection. Out of all the songs made before and during the album sessions, she really picked not the best but the ones that both actually worked for the album's concept, were individually great and added something to the narrative/flow/worldbuilding. So every scrap was worth it.
 
Also, replacing Zodiac with Candy Necklace was the right choice. I love Zodiac but Candy Necklace showed a new side of the album and even if she kept both, Zodiac would've ended up as a filler.
