It’s honestly such a turn off that even a place like this fosters fatphobia/body shaming towards the very artist this entire website revolves around. I still can’t wrap my mind around this.
 
Let’s not take the context away of what is otherwise a beautifully written song with a lot of meaning behind it pls! 

I finally gave it a listen. Her parts are fine, but it definitely seems very chopped together. Kinda doesn’t flow for me. Not sure if I will give it another listen. Just not my type of song, even if she salvages parts of it.

She is an icon, a legend, an all-time great. Nothing could matter less than her chart placement at this point.

I’m not sure Lana necessarily *wants* to be any more successful chart-wise, at least in terms of conventional singles. It may deliberately be being allowed to simmer and pass by less noticed.

I‘m glad I’m witnessing this with all of you guys. I don’t know who you are, but y’all making this experience fun. Watching this mess alone seems depressing af.

that was one of the best performances I've ever seen from her idk how anyone could dislike it. I loved both looks from each weekend, while I think last week was more flattering color wise making her look like an actual princess, I personally love darker looks + we got the cowgirl fringe and belt I mean come on Henry  her outfits were giving ultraviolence if it were cUntry and I'm here for it <3

i was making a silly joke saying how bartender was my chance to go to the washroom but i obviously didn’t leave. i still need to pee in fact. but wow what an incredible performance. i hope the live stream was able to capture it just as well for you guys!

I disagree, her confidence and vocals were EVERYTHING and that’s what matters the most at the end.

Wow. This is an incredible moment. Imagine singing your song with the artist who inspired you.. and then her signature song with her too. I would die if this ever happened to me. Wowowowow no words. Absolutely incredible x

I enjoyed the cover but I will always have a bias/preference for shoegaze/dream pop  it did take me a couple of listens but it clicked - I think the production is very great. 
 
I think what I enjoy the most about it though is that it’s a more unique song for a Lana cover compared to Video Games, Young and Beautiful, Summertime Sadness, etc. I’m glad to hear that her more “deep cut” music is influenced a well known band in the shoegaze/alt 90s music scene.  
 
if you like the track, do check out their first album as it’s great (the track Kick the Tragedy and Winona are great). They’re also probably the most prominent American shoegaze band, which is pretty cool (most of them are from the UK). It was funny - I was listening to Winona recently and there’s a line: “Another record shop story that was born to die”
