I don’t think it’s clear enough that this is not some kind of “posthumously assembled collection of unreleased songs”, but the closest thing to what she was supposed to put out as a second album. If a song with Charli won’t be there, it just means that it wouldn’t have made the cut on this album either way. 

The song is incredible. Just wow wow wow. 
 
sucks that we have to wait for the dead of winter for this to be out tho. Of course it’s not that insane as far as rollouts go, but in this day and age it feels unnecessary. A month is all you need. Hype dies so fast these days unless the song is a major hit. 
 
Next year tho, with FKA in January and Gaga in February is gonna start so insane tho so that’s cute I guess

I scrolled past the album cover without realising and thought it was a magazine cover lol. It’s not a bad cover (I like it) but the covers of LP1 and Magdalene are so top tier that this one feels very simple and kinda underwhelming

This one is also a pretty crowded week to release stuff, so it also might get more attention next week

Makes me think that the plan is for it to come out on her birthday (the 17th) but the label mixed up the dates when uploading it and set the release for this Tuesday instead of next one

jokes aside, it’s pretty obvious this album is more of a “featured artists” collection so it would be quite disrespectful not putting a Charli (unheard or not) feature on the album. We’ll see soon

Although it’s very old, I think it’s pretty likely for Burn Rubber to be on the album because it has been a stable part of almost all of her sets since 2018 with updated production and was part of the sequence Take Me to Dubai - New York’s Burning Down - Burn Rubber. Moreover, it was in the draft tracklist for the album leaked in 2020. With that being said, I don’t think Exhilarate will segue into Burn Rubber, but never say never.

Agora Hills by Doja got me revisiting her discography the valley girl rapping parts is So her. I wonder if she’d be much bigger right now if she didn’t go by just Kitty. It’s a very unsearchable name for google and twitter tbh. Her apple music page is also full of random songs by other artists going by the same name like her artist pic is just some random girl  people that are just getting into her music would probs think those are her songs and they are… not good. Anyways streaming Frostbite rn missing the tumblr golden age

That's agiven, mixing is something you do last in the process when the track is finalised. 
 
I'm more talking about the structure and length and stuff. It's 50/50 so far, Berlin Nightmare and One More Time have been much shorter than what she was playing live while Exhilarate and Reason Why have been the full versions (with Exhilarate even having an extra outro)
 
I think the two long versions we have of Transnation (12 minute and 10 minutes) are soundboard rips from her shows, which means that the more abstract sections could just be part of her live show or maybe even improvisation.
