Songs that are rich with lyricism or not, I think Lana is the type of artist that really needs to live her songs. Maybe she’s just enjoying life, taking a creative break but one that is nourishing enough to come back when she’s ready and hit us with her best album ever.
Lana has had her fair share of difficulties, and her music has always remained pioneering. Now that she has some stability and peace in her life, just imagine the magic she will create! Just be patient guys. I know it’s hard but trust the process.

Last Thursday, Lana Del Rey met some fans while at a Texas Roadhouse in Harvey, Louisiana.

She's dropped an album last year, she's put out Tough in July, she's given us many wonderful public appearances and done multiple large-scale gigs.
 
She looks great and has really toned up. Happily married too. Girl's been super busy, and we know she's cooking up new music and really thinking about the outcome, as opposed to winging it (looking at you, Dula Peep and your last "album).
 
I get that it's frustrating. But it's not like she's Adele who goes into hiding in her batcave for 5 years.

I totally get where people are coming from when they say they don't know if they want to listen to her music anymore. It is really difficult to separate the person from the artist; the two are intrinsic to a degree, and I can imagine it's all the more difficult as an American (which I am not). For me, it was easier, because If I'm being honest, I am much more interested in Lana pre 2020 than post 2020 anyway. Lana hasn't really interested me for a few years now, compared to the way she used to (and that's fine - people change and evolve, both she and I)
I really didn't like much about COCC or BB, and while I think DYKTUOB is a step above the previous two, it still doesn't resonate with me like her earlier work
I'm definitely not pleased that she's married someone who is apparently anti-trans and MAGA, but I've become accustomed to not expecting much from current Lana, musically or otherwise. So when she married him I just thought "this is disappointing" and then went and streamed Honeymoon or some shit
I think Lana's vision of America is very romanticised. That's not to say that she doesn't recognise, and write about, some of its faults but she is seemingly painfully oblivious to others. Everyone has a line they draw in regard to what they overlook when it comes to the artists they follow. So if her marrying Jeremy and/or her silence on political issues is your line, then that's your line, and you shouldn't be made to feel like you're being silly or anything.
I would hope that everyone could find a way to not let grotty Swamp Man ruin music that they otherwise love, but if it's a deal breaker for someone, then it is, and no one else gets to tell that person that they're not allowed to feel that way.

I honestly cannot bring myself to enjoy her music nowadays. I’m not doing as a protest, I just find myself skipping her songs. Something is lost.

Again, I don’t mean to sanitize, but just to give a bit of ray of sunshine here:
 
- Most of Trump’s policies will not be implemented. Tariffs are just a negotiating tactic, and we all know they will not actually replace income tax 
- On that note, just like 2016, the biggest Trump legacy will be his tax cuts. I see him further reducing income tax on the top 3 brackets by 5-10% and on the lowest 3 by 3-5%. 
- He’s not gonna do jack shit about the border, because his replacement will need the issue to run on in 4 years. 
- Mass deportations will not occur, namely because ICE is understaffed and the Trump deficit doesn’t give much room for more govt. spending. Also, the fact of the matter is that most illegal immigrants live in Blue States, and they won’t be helping Trump. 
- Gender affirming healthcare (and healthcare in general) will take the biggest hit 😭💔. It’ll now be a state issue, like abortion. 
- Abortion had a relatively decent night. The majority of Trump voters also voted to protect or expand abortion rights (except for Florida's “super majority” requirement) and Montana. 

 
Trump’s legacy thus far has been one of ineffectiveness. That trend will continue. It’s just uniquely horrible that he will be able to cement a 6-3 Supreme Court conservative lean, which will have long term effects, but not immediate quality of life implications yet. 
 
The media will prey on your outrage for clicks, do not let Trump take over your life. 
 
This is certainly a sad day for many, and I am not saying we are not allowed to grieve and mourn, but this is the path forward, and no amount of tears will change that. 
 
There was no justice last night, but there can be mercy, because we can give that to each other 🙃

philosophically speaking... i do believe most things happen for one reason or another, even if we cannot understand why, and i do believe that whoever won tonight was in god's hands, and in the grand scheme of things, everything will work out the way it's intended to, for some sort of larger purpose, idk, maybe we need people like trump back in office to further push change in our world, things need to get notably bad before they can be forced to change and perhaps get better, i don't know, that probably isn't something very satisfactory to believe or put thought into, since him winning again (and it sure looks like he will) will most certainly cause damage and harm, and maybe there's no excusing that, but i do feel like things are going to change, there's tension, there's something brewing, i don't know if that's just some of wishful thinking, or actual intuition, but i want to remain faithful that the results of something so massive play out the way they do for some grander purpose
 
sorry if this is insensitive or perhaps an ignorant or privileged way of viewing it all, it might be, but it's just how i'm personally trying to view it all, since it's outside of my control anyway, if you disagree with how i feel about it, that's totally fine and understandable
