I think Honeymoon is one of her best albums yet because of this big cinematic feel it has, everytime i listen to it, i picture the way the song would look like thanks to the way she describes everything so heavenly and mysterious, it's like an ''audio'' movie for me, the transitions between songs help to that feel, that it's one big epic ''story'', so to speak. Also her vocals are absolutely gorgeous here, i love that she's getting better and better every era.
 
I agree though that while i do like the aesthetic, it's all over the place, here's hoping Freak's video slays, since it's one of my favourite songs from Honeymoon.

Basically what the above posts say, she's (un)fortunate enough that she's one of those singers that really connect with people and thus some go into such extremes to try and ''figure'' more out, plus she's SO nice and adorable with her fans, watch any video of her signing autographs and taking photos with them, she's an absolute angel with all of them and usually tries to drive away the annoying paparazzi so she can be in peace with them, no wonder she gathered stalkers, and it's very sad, i hope she doesn't become more reclusive, but also here's hoping she takes care of herself a bit more.

Those people who stalk her and stole her cars and broke into her home aren't fans in my opinion. They are Mark David Chapman type of people who are unstable and deranged, but they are not fans. Real fans would never do something like this to hurt Lana.

Honeymoon is a great album because lana was happy making it. No one told her she couldn't do whatever she wanted to do, or put whatever she wanted out there. Idk about you guys but if lana is happy then Im happy. 

thanks 2 everyone who worked out how to do it, here's what you do:
 
1. find that fucking ugly disgusting tropico pic + save it somewhere
2. change your photo to the tropico pic you just saved and click done
3. then you should be able to change your pic to anything you want
 
IF, however, that doesn't work...
 
1. find the pic you want as your avatar and convert it to PNG image format (it's v simple to do online)
2. rename that image to "default_image"
3. go back and do step 1 & 2 again
4. try changing your pic from tropico to your "default_image" pic
5. say goodbye to that virus
 
ALSO your icon will now look bigger in threads so u can see who was infected by the Tropico virus...its kind of like a scar after chickenpox (but like a sexy one)

Many of you know the hard way that it has been impossible to change our icons since the recent forum downtime, but a few wonderful LB members devised a solution. I figure this is enough of a forum dilemma with no end in sight for it to merit its own thread. If she wants to go back to the BTD sound, she better do it in the vein of Paradise, like Body Electric and Ride, or from BTD well, the sound of Million Dollar Man and Lucky Ones would be nice because the crazy bitch describes things as the complete opposite, but please not the atrocity that was the remake of Yayo, she butchered it, the original from AKA is heaven

i think she has a lot of detractors because of her wealthy background, or they just don't bother to actually understand the lyrics, or wtvrs
I used to think she was going to be like that, when i listened to BTD i loved it all, but when i started to dig up all of the unreleased stuff, the holy grail of AKA and actually bothering to look up the meaning and references is when i appreciated her even more and fell in love with her she ruined my life.

Some people don't like her since her sound is slow and very calm. I absolutely love those type of songs, when i have shown some of them, be it Lana or another artist/composer, i've found that most people seem to have like, the idea that calm music makes you sleep and it's boring. When i showed one instrumental to a friend (Specifically, the Twin Peaks main theme) she said ''My god, that's gonna put me to sleep!'', and i've been recieving the exact same replies from other people. Most like upbeat songs, with powerful voices and at least catchy/easy-to-understand lyrics, Lana doesn't usually head towards that direction, instead having a more slow pacing sound, melancholic/reference filled lyrics and her voice is calm, moody and of course, absolutely beautiful, but most people think you've gotta have a powerhouse voice to be considered like a talented artist, it doesn't help that the majority her detractors think she's manufactured and she's only there because she comes from a wealthy background (AKA you don't have a rags-to-riches background means you're fake/ain't talented).
 
In a very personal opinion, i think most of them hate because they can, because she's an easy target, without even having listened to her more carefully.
But some people genuinely don't like her, and that's fine, everyone got different tastes, as long as you respect.
