also what is this obsession with painting eclipse as either a beast or a god? he's a young man with a particular set of skills (or s particular connection) that affords him a high degree of influence in a community. do i think he's horrible? no, i think he has poor judgment sometimes but who doesn't. is he infallible? of course not. he's young. he's acting like any young person in his position might, actually with a great deal more restraint than I would expect from someone his age (but maybe im pessimistic). i can see even in my short time here he has changed to become more responsible. but anyway the dichotomy isn't black and white, you can disagree with some of his choices without painting him as satan, and vice versa, he's not saintly just because he gives you what you want. he's just a person. hope y'all don't kill me for this lol

the difference between leaking stuff from the past and leaking stuff that's about to be released is pretty obvious, especially if you look at it from a financial point of view.
 
the stuff lana and her team has shelved has no potential to make money for them, unless they were thinking of releasing it later (the only example I can think of is old money where the melody was re-used)
 
However stuff that is pending release can take a huge financial hit if it's leaked. there's a large share of ppl who would not view the video on official release, who would not stream and who would not buy the album if they had access to a free early release (a leak). This directly affects lanas career, as they use metrics like revenue generated, video views, billboard chartings etc to determine funds disbursed to the artist and their team for future projects. also the money that lana earns will be less as im sure her contract is a % of total revenue generated.
 
anyway that's my two cents, leaking old stuff doesn't really damage her financial success while obviously intervening in an impeding release does.

After that one radio host posted falsely that LDR5 was coming in November, he replied to him using the same line of lyrics he shared in April and he also tagged Lana. That's what got attention from Lana. Barely "started to tease it" when he was just reposting what he already teased I guess at one point long ago.
 
He never teased or said much more than that in all the months between April-Nov, even when he was leaking old snippets/songs in summer.

I don't think he'd have leaked any new songs even if Lana hadn't interfered. Moaning about Eclipse is so last year.

Actually, yeah. This has pages and pages over nothing. It's quite simple: if u say anything leaked, report it and don't spread it. 

I bet after all this mess Lana will be like "Biiiitch fck all of that, im going back to my babysitting job, yall can choke" 

lanaboards should step up its game a bit by making all ldr5 threads unavailable for guests tbh there's so many guests reading all of this drama. 
 
also it's sad that this is leaking but honestly we've heard about this drama hours ago in the ldr5 thread so let's not make it happen again. i think we all feel the same about yail related stuff leaking, there's no point in discussing it again and repeating the mess of the ldr5 thread over and over again.

The only reason why Eclipse gets a pass because he has been constantly reliable. This is not about him being treated like god. Of course no one's gonna believe a newbie coming around claiming to have whatever they have because a lot of the time it has been shown to be nothing but trolling. The only way people would believe you is if you were to actually leak something but that can't happen this time cause it would ruin everything.

I'm sure Eclipse would never do something as stupid as leaking a still from an unreleased video and spamming it all over social media. He knows better than that.

k but this is different because eclipse has never leaked something that's planned for a future release, all he does is share old canned stuff. there's a difference between these things.

Oh please, we don't praise Eclipse for having Lana's stuff but because he made the right decision to keep it to himself and understands it would really hurt Lana to get her projects leaked before the right time.

Eclipse only "leaks" old songs or old things. He would never leak something that is from the new album. He has demos from the album and he didn't leak any of it - not even a little snippet.
This is serious, like. People have the video and the song, it's a major issue. It's about something that isn't out there, that is going to be officially released.
