one of the other issues with festivals is that musicians have to adapt to the festivals' sound system and sound engineers. when she is on HER tour, her and her team have more control and knowledge of the sound equipment since it is theirs. i wasnt there so i dont know, but this is something i've noticed when seeing bands on their own tours vs. seeing them at a festival - its harder to get the sound exactly the way the musicians prefer.

Hello!! Okay so i was at governors ball, I waited from the minute the gates opened at barricade for Lana and the stage was having problems all day, a-trak's set was shut down in the middle bc of technically difficulties and he resumed 10 minutes later, I think Lana was mad about that, and scared that it might happen to her? I don't know. She started tearing up at one point it looked like she was about to cry, she also skipped Do Right and Us Against the world, but she ended her set early, she did them in atlantic city when i saw her there the night before. Regardless it still was a really great show she sounded amazing from the front but i have no idea about what was happening with the people in the back, I'm really happy and greatful i got to see her twice this weekend.

I've been a massive fan for years.  She started releasing music in 2012, but her first official full length project didn't come until last summer (2014). She's beyond dope.  From Brooklyn, NY. She's Trinidadian and Jamaican and raps a lot about loving herself and being too good for everything that crosses her path. She raps about loving her body, being healthy and living her life.  She's really irreverent and subversive and all about questioning the norm.  It's really feel good music.  It's like a flu shot but for your self-esteem.  
She has not had anything officially released to buy as of yet, but her sound cloud is a *PRETTY* comprehensive source for her work. There are other tracks floating around here and there- a very limited number of features.

I like it a lot... You should make the picture into a cover for I Can Fly 

I'd like a trip-hop album to be honest, mixed with a few tracks in the vein of Trash or Pin-Up Galore. These types of songs are what made me fall for Lana in the first place and I sort of want them back.

Saw Charli for the second time this past weekend at Sweetlife Fest and I gotta say, she honestly was the first act there that actually got the crowd going and she absolutely killed it. I stayed behind the buses for a few hours after Marina got offstage, but didn't see either of them (I did see Vicky, Charil's bassist and Banks walking around tho lol). I wonder if Marina and Charli hung out between their sets... they didn't post anything about it.
 
On this era, I feel like there are some gems that Charli actually really enjoys doing like Sucker (song), Famous, Doing It, Need UR Luv, and Body of My Own, but I do think she also feels bad about a lot of the other pop stuff like Boom Clap, Die Tonight, the promo wheel of death, etc, etc. I hope she ends this era on a strong note this summer with Need Ur Luv as the last single, and then drops Sucker like its hot like Lana did with UV. Give her a few months to regain her thoughts and what she really wants, and come back feeling happy again with her work.

I feel SO bad for Dallas fans, but I'm upset with everyone on facebook complaining that it's Lana's fault. Everyone on this thread made excellent points. 

I'm actually fascinated by why she does that it's gonna sound hella cocky but I talked about it in my essay and I want to explore it more in my graduation thesis she's the only artist that I know of that does it I wonder what goes in her mind when doing it
