Dear God, let it be upbeat

Lana posts some great photos on her own instagram account which I think could count as news every time she posts something. I noticed there was no thread for her instagram updates so I thought it would be cool to have one. If it's okay with the Mod's of course.  I'll update this thread whenever she updates her instagram page.

She posted some great pictures today. Looks like she's in the studio again.

Thank you, I always find it funny when people say that Paradise sucks when it was such an exciting record for (dare I say) everyone, with the Tumblr snippets we had, the nice snippet video she posted ... It's okay to find later records more mature but don't act like you hated the EP. We now you jammed to the mentioned songs.

There were better songs on Paradise though. God's and Monsters, Cola, Bel Air, American...

We both know, the history of canceling that surrounds her
Which makes me scared, there's no one to trust now that she's deleted 'em

I hope we get some HQ streams. APart from that, I don't really care for her touring unless she suprises us all with an interesting playlist.

I've been wanting to see her live for awhile, but I'm not here for belligerent fans singing so loudly that I can't hear my priestess.

who are you trying to come at lmao. whenever you respond to someone on LB you write with so much anger and sass, you need to calm down and stop being so bitter lol
and back on topic, when you think 'Lana Del Rey' , Video Games, West Coast, Born To Die, Ultraviolence, National Anthem, Ride, Blue Jeans, etc. come to mind because they are iconic. when you think 'Lana Del Rey' you pay no mind to HM because its the most useless thing that could ever happen to her discography, despite a few songs (around 3) theres no songs on HM that are career defining. HM is so bland it just becomes overshadowed by the greatness of BTD, PD, and UV. by iconic i meant songs that are career defining and you can recognize immediately. HM is just a bunch of demos with cheap beats and stolen uv visuals

The song Carmen relates to me on a personal level. The lyric "tying cherry knots, smiling, doing party favors" makes me tear up all the time. Lana has just brought out more of me, I'm not sure how to explain it. I'm just so thankful for the music that she makes because it gets me through some tough times. Thanks to Lana, Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov is now my favorite book

And thanks to Lana my daddy issues and kink have taken over

I can imagine a huge budget video for Salvatore as well. Shame her label didn't use it as a single, its such a great song and one of the most listenable songs for casual fans.

Thinking about it Salvatore would've made a great lead single. Its Shame really because it had the potential to be a bit of hit especially in Europe

The lyrics aren't the best but definitely were radio-friendly and musically the production was too. Lana and Interscope/Polydor really did miss the mark with the potential Salvatore had tbh

TO be honest with you, that is the only song off Honeymoon that radio stations in Europe would play. Can't believe she didn't even consider this being released as a single and reacted slightly shocked when played on BBC radio

I think what she ought to focus her attention to with her next album is the lyrics. I mean how long can she keep singing about her boyfriends, her teenage shenanigans and how she wants to be free... I have enough faith in Lana that she can widen her horizons

As long as she manages to make the next album exciting again, I don't care how she does it. Both BTD and UV felt special, had their highlights, a wonderful style etc etc

HM is nice but so f*cking unspectacular, especially since the tempo is dragging on after like Religion.

I listen to one or two songs and that's it. I constantly go back to Ultraviolence or Born To Die. After all this time I'm still not tired of those two albums.

I'm starting to think that Lana is really going to be making a BTD 2.0 next time around.

She has reclaimed her BTD auburn style in all of its glory.

And going out to events a lot more!

She was photographed with Justin Parker near the end of last year, probably writing new material for the next album:

And now she's with Emile Haynie again...

Plus, remember this from the interview in NME Magazine from December last year:

I know this is just speculation, but judging by all of this, I seem to have a feeling she might want to make a record more in the vein of Born to Die again. I mean, it looks as if she could be working with Emile Haynie and Justin Parker again, who both worked on Born to Die, she's starting to act more like her BTD self (going out to more events, posting more often, and so on) and even changed her hair back to that style, plus she even stated in an interview she could see herself making another New York record.

What do y'all think? Time to open up an LDR 5 (Pre-Release and Discussion Thread) already?

Don't let Lana hear that ....
  22. Starsx liked a post in a topic by TRENCH in Which song best represents "Lana Del Rey"
    Born To Die
    Ride
    Video Games
very basic but these 3 songs wrap up, overall, her little "universe" well
