I went into rehab when BTD was released and it was the first "fun" music I'd listened to in years, it made me realise I was only 17 and I should act my age and have fun. It sounds really simple but it was so important to me and it helped me overcome addiction stuff I was dealing with. Cause she was sober and still managed to be fun... People make jokes about Lana's music being dark and depressing but I have never thought that at all haha.

Since I listen to Lana, I've changed, I've decided to be who I want and not who the other people want me to. It's a complicate thing to explain (especially without knowing english ). However, she inspired me to live the life like I want and now I'm proud of me, of the person I am and of the person I want to become in future; thanks to Lana I believe in myself and in my ideas

Do I believe there's a chance that Lana could "come back" (fucking hate that term) and really deliver something unique and interesting? Yes. But can't ya'll just live with the fact that she's gonna do what she wants to do? She even said it herself. She surrounds herself with people who agree with her regarding every aspect of her music. Until she accepts someone who challenges her will we have something as strong as UV (thank you Dan Auerbach). I would be less surprised by an acoustic album and more surprised by an album that deviates from what we're used to Lana putting out.

This makes me sad to see Marina acting so petty, but it makes my heart happy to see Charli respond in a mature and professional manner.

I'm starting to think that Lana is really going to be making a BTD 2.0 next time around.

She has reclaimed her BTD auburn style in all of its glory.

And going out to events a lot more!

She was photographed with Justin Parker near the end of last year, probably writing new material for the next album:

And now she's with Emile Haynie again...

Plus, remember this from the interview in NME Magazine from December last year:

I know this is just speculation, but judging by all of this, I seem to have a feeling she might want to make a record more in the vein of Born to Die again. I mean, it looks as if she could be working with Emile Haynie and Justin Parker again, who both worked on Born to Die, she's starting to act more like her BTD self (going out to more events, posting more often, and so on) and even changed her hair back to that style, plus she even stated in an interview she could see herself making another New York record.

What do y'all think? Time to open up an LDR 5 (Pre-Release and Discussion Thread) already?

Don't be so negative. Bad things happen all the time everywhere, not only the US. No artist should hold off touring this year. Its scary but its life

Lana suddenly making all these appearances and looking the happiest she has been in such a long time leads me to believe that she has cooked up an extremely beautiful album + Movie Soundtracks and has lots of surprises in store for us

I'm pretty sure my find is extremely insignificant, but I figured I'd post it anyway. Andy Kravitz is a producer, engineer, and drummer who has worked with Lizzy. He has a photo of her on his Myspace. I found that he wrote a testimonial for BAE audio in which he mentions Lizzy Grant in his discography. The testimonial was written on January 15th, 2005 which would put their work in the "Sirens" era (right?) Below the testimonial you can see his title includes "President and CEO of A 2 Tha K Production Group". I just find it a little ironic that the letter K keeps popping up all over Lizzy's life. Now, like I said, this is probably completely insignificant. Just thought I'd share

Finally got through all of this! Aaaaah. Need to nurse my brain ache for a moment.

Now, first I would like to start off by saying, Lizzy said (I think in the Mike interview?) fantasy is her reality. She has often spoken about drawing influence from films, landscape, architecture, etc.

Enter broken Lana. Should all these things be true, I really do feel as though she could have either tried to commit suicide, or behaved recklessly enough that it might as well have counted as a death wish. I think a lot more of the songs are about this pain than we think. I also think more are about addiction than we think.

    My take on Cola

I would also like to add, who is to say that Mike wasn't a coin in Lana's revelry? Just because he is older, doesn't mean he couldn't have used drugs, abused alcohol, etc. that sort of changes the foundations of Video Games? If Yayo is a prequel to Video Games, is there a chance that they are about the same person?

Oh, and going through this thread, what was with Mike and the film credits? Was there a post with information that has been deleted? I think I missed all that.

And I wanna know, who the hell is Put Me In A Movie really about?!? It's way to accusatory.

That's all I can think to say for now, sorry its all over the place. My brain is frizzle-fried! Not to mention I think I've lost a few points of eyesight on each eye. Great thread though! You guys are brilliant super sleuths, and I feel honored to be in the presence of such sneaky genius.
