Norman Fucking Rockwell is the MOST Lana album title ever. This is going to be legendary. 

I love how in the middle of all of this Lana’s becoming a pilot.

FINALLY listened to the song and I'm speechless! I've also read some ugly comments on here though, like, imagine wanting this shorter or being disappointed by it when y'all constantly beg for a UV 2.0, rats. 
 
I'm so happy with everything we got, the title of the album is so interesting and new, I've never been this shock since Ultraviolence dropped. I'm sooooo excited right now aah i don't have words to explain.

I find it astonishing and intriguing that nothing leaked prior release, what could have made the difference from other eras

Personally I just realised it looks like Elle was angry af when she wrote the name of the thread like "ugh can't believe this bitch, Norman fucking Rockwell AGAIN"

Which magazines do you think she'll cover? Personally, I would love for Marfa again, The Gentlewoman, Complex, Fader, Galore (!!!!!!!), Clash, Wonderland, Pop, Notion, Playboy... I would love more music, artsy or personal / indie based magazines than pure fashion magazines, and more laid back shoots. Although if she goes full glamour for kicks and giggles I wouldn't mind but from what I heard and saw I don't think it would fit the tone of the record

I swear I've been listening to the track for at least 10 times now and I just cannot stop smiling, it makes me so happy I cannot even believe it. It soothes my soul just as it needed to be. It makes me feel at peace with the whole world and with myself. I may be overreacting and may laugh when I re-read this post in a few days but still. She did that, after the hell of a disappointment LFL has been for me - I had completly lost interest. She's such an important artist. She has such a way to convey feeling and make them so much relatable.

Idk about yall but I listened to VB at least six times I lost count and I feel like a ran a marathon omg the attention span required for appreciating the beauty for 10mins should be an Olympic sport

If you mean her own paintings yes omgf, I would LOVE booklet with handwriting by her, plus she has a beautiful writing. Kinda like No Mythologies To Follow or Joanne, something very personal and that feels dare I say "crafty", which would fit the vibe of the song.
 
 
 
 
A while ago I read Woolgathering by Patti Smith and I ADORED it. I highly recommend it to everyone. Point is VB specifically sounds like that book. It's the exact same nostalgic vibe and I'm sure Lana would be pleased by the comparison if it wasn't on purpose

Completely agreed. I can casually enjoy LFL on a surface level, but it feel so hollow compared to her previous albums. MAC and VB are already so much more satisfying than LFL as a whole, IMO.

Now that I see where the sound is going I REALLY hope at least one song is New York influenced in lyrics and sound. Because this happy sad / nostalgic / melancholic vibe sounds a shit ton like May Jailer who's inherently connected to NYC in my mind and I would love Lana to nod to this

THIS is the kind of authentic and tasteful Lana I was missing in LFL era..everything about it felt so un-Lana, especially compared to Honeymoon before it. The taste levels were just not there.

I get why some people might not like Norman Fucking Rockwell as an album title but like, I love it. I love these extra ass titles so much. I hope every single song off of NFR has an extra ass title tbh, ready for ‘Blooming Beautifully - Lilacs In My Mind’ to be the intro track.

Everyone really just wanted to see her do something MORE, and she finally did it by switching it up. 

Haven't been on here in ages. But love the new tracks and so happy to see our girl free.
 
I really don't think she cares at all anymore about charting, commercial expectations, relevancy. 
 
She's just going to do what she needs to do and she trusts she has a hardcore fanbase who will follow her.
And we will.
