This vid makes me worried that if I look through my window I'll see Lana gingerly creeping around my garden in a white dress and taking selfies next to my hydrangeas.

I have to find something positive about the video -
Clockwork Orange fans, actually get to see an orange.
And, feels like Lana is my bride, while watching it.
Though, on her real wedding day, after this video, it'll be low turnout.

@@BrooklynnBabyy vent into a status update or a blog post. No need to make a thread for something that literally only you and 2 other people feel. Maybe you can spend more time engaging in the forum elsewhere instead of making your first presence here a negative one.

Wow, I don't know whether or not you are trolling but
1. We have a Lorde thread in the Entertainment section, post there.
2. You are bashing an artist that is liked by many people on this forum.
3. Lorde is a fan of Lana, she just doesn't like the whole "daddy complex" that Lana has developed over time.
4. Royals was a social commentary song, it is supposed to remind you of Lana and the hip hop group Maybach Music Group, Lorde was denying the opulence portrayed in today's media, and if you find that offensive then you need to check your priorities.

Aren't you like a 8 year old wannabe singer that spends all his mommys drug money buying fake YouTube views and comments. 

I think his first single is a grower for me. I definitely give him credit for writing a song about such a taboo subject in society (especially the music industry); the hard truths about depression and using toxic coping mechanisms just to get by, etc etc. 
 
However, in my opinion, I think the production could have been less over-produced. And he does sound a little average. Again, not hating, I appreciate the song but the other parts of the puzzle (production, phrasing, voice) just don't add up for me.

Ha. "People". That is impressive vagueness. But I don't really care. I'm just glad she's finally acknowledging it. But this makes me suspect Brian Hiatt's been reading our forum even more. "Shaving off". I've used that phrase to describe this at least once.
 
I think she's probably conflating a couple things here. Both Gaga and Lana played consecutive new writer showcases at the Cutting Room put on by the Songwriter's Hall of Fame (SHOF) which Bob Leone worked for as Projects Director. The Monday night lineups she's referring to were probably Monday night open mics at Makor that were also put on by the SHOF. You can see more about those gigs in the "Early Shows" section.
