Norman Fucking Rockwell - Pre-Release Thread

Recommended Posts

So u know how Mariah invented the gays after Rainbow (right?), did u think Lana was worried about releasing the record during pride month, having her mortal enemies, the gays from claiming it and making her a gay icon or something. That or the record'll sound like a gay porno? Is June gonna b a good month? Where tf is Happiness is a Pupa? source.gif

HAPPINESS IS A PUPA IM SCREAMING

Does anyone else think she goes to that “church” for experimental purposes? I’m having a hard time believing she’s falling for that shit. I’ve heard nothing but bad things about this place

Truly ethereal, and it’s a huge pain in the ass

Nah I feel like she's 100% dead serious about it.

Can't wait to hear Lana's cover of Judas on NFR :flutter:

Hmm speaking of reworked tracks, there has always been a vintage Lana/ Lizzy song somehow woven into her albums

For example:

Born to Die had Diet Mtn Dew

Paradise had Yayo

Ultraviolence was originally referenced in Hundred Dollar Bill AND the melody from Methamphetamines was used for Old Money

Honeymoon had the iconic HBTB bridge which samples Put Me In a Movie lyrics

LFL had Beautiful People reworked, which I know isnt TECHNICALLY vintage Lana but it still counts a bit in my book

Now I’m curious as to what possible references NFR could have!!! Or if we really are about to get our first album that is wholly new material

oh come on she obviously won't rework songs that took months and studio money and were officially released  :rip:

This. I was just about to say that she does this all the time EXCEPT, she never “reworks” her released songs. That’s pointless lmao

So far it seems like she’s mainly referencing the entire album. Venice Bitch mentioned Norman Rockwell, MAC referenced VB

I've learned to expect the worst, so yeah I'm not going to keep making excuses for her. It would be nice if she's not actually falling for that shit, but I'm not going to count on it. She's probably drinking that kool-aid like her life depends on it.

Exactly she’s far too lazy for that, besides she said before once a song is done it’s done. She only really went back a few times and it was for lust for life (song) to change up the verse and chorus. National Anthem she added fireworks and the other was Yayo. But that’s about it.

Lana, please, by the end of next week do SOMETHING so we have more to talk about than your recent questionable organized religion choices.

Maybe next week or the one after is the earliest if Interscope wants Doin’Time to live a bit on the charts.
