Thunder Revenant 20,966 Posted June 6, 2016 the set list Lana is singing at the show I am next seeing. There has not been one show I have seen that I thoroughly didn't have a great time seeing and yes, even this hard core fan and supporter of Lana would be thoroughly disappointed if Lana did not sing Video Games or Born to Die and part of the reason is, the large cheer that happens when both those songs start Most people forget, even a hard core fan (but maybe not one that has to be in the first couple of rows in the pit) brings friends and those people and others know the biggest songs And it goes without saying, for any artist, the older songs are known by more people than a song from last year Music takes a while to seep into a persons brain (where they can hum or sing to themselves every single word. and history shows, an artist NOT doing older songs and only singing their new album, bores most people who are not familiar with those songs Lana is not playing a club where all 500 people in the club are hard core fans Again- if Elton John didn't sing "Your Song", thousands would demand their money back If people want to hear every song, well, the music is in front of you, listen to it. Any of you ever go see Bob Dylan? Almost all his shows, he plays stump the audience and sings unknown songs, sings known songs totally different that most people have no idea what song he is singing. Then there is Willie Nelson, who sings the same set list for 40 years (give or take a few songs) It's a differenc ebetween playing well known songs (Video Games. West Coast. Blue Jeans) and having a setlist that still consists mostly of "old" songs, with both of the more recent albums only having 3 songs on the tracklist. I agree that a nice mix of older and newer material is important, but not if you never stopped performing the old songs. Bringing back Carmen for example would be really nice, if she wouldn't already have played it on 80% of her concerts so far. 0 Quote Just do it. Just do it - don't wait! jvcx 3,644 Posted June 4, 2017 I usually think about what my dream setlists would be like and make my playlists based around those songs, here's the ones I've been listening to recently *(would prefer to be shorter than studio version) A 01. Cruel World* 02. Freak 03. Blue Jeans 04. Brooklyn Baby* 05. Cola 06. Born to Die 07. Coachella - Woodstock in My Mind (there's gotta be one I don't like as much as the others) xx. Stargirl Interlude 08. Lust for Life 09. High by the Beach 10. West Coast 11. Serial Killer xx. Burnt Norton (Interlude) 12. Ride 13. The Blackest Day 14. Video Games 15. Love B (Some song changes but other than that pretty much the same) xx. Honeymoon Intro (well this one's not on my playlist but yea, I think some parts of the instrumental would make an epic intro for her to walk on the stage) 01. Honeymoon* 02. Cruel World* 03. Cola 04. Blue Jeans 05. Ultraviolence 06. Born to Die 07. Coachella - Woodstock in My Mind xx. Stargirl Interlude 08. Lust for Life 09. High by the Beach 10. West Coast xx. Burnt Norton (Interlude) 11. Young and Beautiful 12. Best American Record* (ON/OFF, I skip it sometimes) 13. Video Games 14. Love 15. Off to the Races
electra 20,644 Posted June 4, 2017 I like your first idea with interludes kind of like the Neon Nature tour Marina did. Concept: Imagine the stage looks like a drive-in movie theatre with the aesthetics of the Love music video 1. Paradise tour intro but in the style of UV 2. Everything goes black with a cinematic opening 3. Architecture 4. Ultraviolence 5. West Coast 6. Cherry 7. Cinematic Interlude 8. Art Deco 9. Summertime Sadness 10. Pretty When You Cry 11. Gods and Monsters (acoustic) 12. Cinematic Interlude 13. Florida Kilos 14. Oh Say Can You See 15. Love 16. Cinematic Outro

No artist could do all that :'D For me: Some kind of Legends Tour. So the central theme is bringing to life all the people that have inspired her, that she mentions in her music. It would be like a giant Woodstock just of her music taste and inspirations. The whole thing would evolve in order of timeline. In purple ** this is what would play on the big screen behind the performance Raise Me Up just because it has Nirvana vibes and would set a powerful intro. Old Lizzy grant stuff would be on the screen Heart Shaped Box cover speaking of Nirvana... Nirvana imagery would be playing on the screen Yayo this song is a legend in itself, and would be a really sweet tone-down after the Nirvana vibes Video Games As above. It may not be my favourite, but this will be her most legendary song so may as well get it out of the way early on National Anthem setting the theme of being on top, being in with the 'big' people. music video would be on the screen Carmen showing the darker side of 'fame' and legends. music video would be on the screen Body Electric Progressing to worshipping yourself. Music vid from Tropico on screen Gods & Monsters moves onto the dark side of touring, and moving into strange places for your music career. Music vid from Tropico on screen Hollywood back to the glamorous side. Old Hollywood imagery on screen Angels Forever themes of 'angels', as in legends who are now dead. Imagery of her favourites on screen like Marilyn, Elvis, Kurt, etc. Interlude after this (Tropico credits score after this as an interlude) West Coast theme of belonging to a music scene. Music vid in bg. Brooklyn Baby same pretty much. Fucked my Way Up To The Top throwback to MARILYN. marilyn footage is on screen Terrence Loves You David Bowie throwback. his footage on screen Freak music video on screen, and the long underwater ending acts as another interlude. The Blackest Day Billie Holiday!!! Best American Record Just footage of legendary lead singers i guess haha Beautiful People (ft. Stevie Nicks) Stevie nicks, what more can i say Tomorrow Never Came The Beetles footage Woodstock In My Mind Woodstock footage
