MermaidTrailerHeaven 455 Posted May 9, 2013 but you-know-who fiddled around with it too much and, i think, lost some of that feel from the demo. I love Radio. It's one of the first songs of Lana's that I heard, and that I really got into. It goes Video Games, Blue Jeans, Yayo (AKA), Radio, actually. I love the soaring feeling that the song gives, it feels like spring going into summer to me. I love the vocal layering, I love the low D in the very beginning of the verses, and how by the end of the verse her voice has a sort of far off quality. The chorus is like a sugar rush, the bridge being the climax of this sugar high lol. It's just dreamy - I forgot to mention how I love the undertone of sadness. It's another dimension, a little secret if you will. A lot of people consider this song to be "fluff", but I don't know how fluff could draw up emotions that everybody who likes the song says that they feel.-
SweetLikeCinnamon 344 Posted May 9, 2013 My favorite song! It is my most played song on iTunes! I loved it before I heard the studio version. It is very nostalgic for me. When I hear it I imagine driving down the coast in California in a convertible at night and that reminds me of SS. So it all works. Ha.
Creyk 11,717 Posted May 9, 2013 Radio has the best demo version of BTD songs, after MDM, in my opinion. And also, thanks for the Scala performance link! I didn't see it yet, but it really is great.

Demian 197 Posted May 9, 2013 I still remember the day I first heard it, it was right after she performed it live for the first time. I even think video didn't have the title, it just said new song. It was also the first song I played after BTD got out. And even though I know she has more powerful songs, this one just gets me all the time.

DUKE 2,530 Posted May 9, 2013 Except for the "because I found you" and LA part, this song is so highly autobiographical for me. Everything in the most literal way you could possibly imagine.
VegasBaby 895 Posted May 9, 2013 This song was a grower for me. I didn't instantanously love it like I did OTTR but now I appreciate it in it's beautiful-ness.. 0 Quote Sweeping scents and blue hydrangea. Summer hail and summer stranger.

KremlinChaos 35 Posted May 9, 2013 Radio is one of my favourite songs too. One of the more feel-good tracks from the album. I love the summery vibe, the way her voice dips between her low and high register. It's such a gorgeous song. The flute that is added at the end is divine.

shelaughslikegod 79 Posted May 17, 2013 My favourite lines of Radio are: "No one even knows how hard life was, I don't even think about it now because..." Do you think they refer to the trailer park years and Lana struggling as a singer?
