Was 'Lana Del Ray' publicly available to purchase elsewhere, besides Amazon and iTunes?

According to this early blog post it was also available for purchase on Napster. Also, I think I remember people on LDR.FM discussing it having been available on some French site, or am I thinking of something else?

I was always under the impression that the shift from "Ray" to "Rey" was inspired by the Ford Del Rey and how it represented retro-Americana. "Rey" also has a Spanish root, which Lana found to be glamorous-sounding.

also doesn't Lana Del Rey translate to Lana of the sun? or wool of the sun but I don't think that's what she was going for

I remember reading an article that "Lana" was derived from Lana Turner and "Del Rey" from the Ford Del Rey as well as the glamour of the name that reminded Lana of the Spanish coast. 

 

And it means "wool of the king" in Spanish.

Lana used to drive an old Mercedes that had a similar box shape...it's very reminiscent of retro-America. And Ford is about American as you can get.

It was available for about 3 months. It got published on January 4th and got shelved on her request April 1st.
