This is not entirely a misconception, but the detail does change how you see what happened. 

And again, maybe most of us here know. 

 

When lana cried on-stage during this video games performance, it seems many people thought she was having a moment of either crying because she still misses the person she's singing about or crying because she was so emotional about this song getting her so far. 

 

She actually explained in an interview that she got emotional because she realised her fans cared so much about her, while she didn't care much for herself. She was experiencing an unexplained illness at the time which is really what pushed her to see this.

Anyone can correct me if I’m wrong since this seems to be widely accepted (the wiki states it), but I’ve always been under the impression that No Kung Fu is just a fanmade title for a group of songs that leaked together. The original miss Daytona master post had a disclaimer saying that it’s a 50/50 chance the demo tape existed.

i think there are multiple demo tapes

 

the original one was 6 tracks and i think the mermaid motel one originated from a different version of the tape

I don’t think there ever was a demo tape. I think the songs just leaked together and ppl came up w the story. 
 

Editing to say that I just mean there probably wasn’t a demo tape labelled No Kung Fu. There was probably a collection of demos sent around, just that they’re not really a body of work in the same way AKA was, so on the Miss Daytona collection there’s no reason to have them separate to the other demos. If that makes sense.

yes, it's one of a very few songs from her that needs to be on a piano ONLY

same as "change" - i dont think many people realize the importance of these two songs in Lana's discography. These are the songs not only did prove Lana is the GOAT as an artist, they proved she's a poet as well.
