oh she definitely is, she always has been to an extent, especially prevalent on her blog, the way she spoke about britney after a concert… yikes! marina needs to work on her internalised misogyny, I don’t mean that as a joke either.

she deleted a load of her blogposts unfortunately, the ones on the wiki are the ones that are saved via the wayback machine, that's why there's huge gaps in 2009 and the start of 2010, the lily allen one she deleted but that quote made it into news articles

 Greek mythology retold in modern age would've been such a cool concept and still could've contained social commentary. Like, telling the story of poor Medusa getting her revenge on Poseidon instead of writing those wacky Harvey Weinstein lines. I don't know why but with that album title, I thought Purge the Poison would be about that. It immediately made me think of Medusa/snakes (venom, poison, whatever) and I swore all the album's lyricism would be infused with mythology metaphors. She could've done so much more than just Pandora's Box. Even the climate change could've been explored through ancient pastoral poetry.

Marina is bigger than Lily, I’m in the UK where Lily is a lot more relevant but even I can tell you worldwide Marina is a bigger deal.

omg yes I forgot that happened I think marina doesn't collab cause she's just a bit insecure about it, she's been very public about finding co-writing hard, it must be even more difficult to co-write with artist then wait anxiously on whether or not a load of people say their verses are better or whatever

Ok I just read the Britney post and she wasn’t wrong at all…it’s harsh but everything she said was correct.

 

Now was it Britneys fault? No but it clearly was an uninterested ploy for Britney to keep her children-via manipulation.
