he might have been exaggerating for dramatic effect, but I think these might have been the Froot demos we already have, the IAR demo springs to mind. just because she said she did froot in the studio and it was the last she wrote, the demos david’s referring too were sent when she was scouting for a new producer

 

also I never saw anyone talk about it here but there’s an interview where marina says she wrote 15 songs for FROOT and only recorded 14 so that means when you take way control was not forget after all, we need to petition for that demo!!

maybe, still hoping that froot demo is out there with someone. It's like one of the most sought after things, think INHA, Saviour and the other version of Miss Y. Each took YEARS to come out, I think that the hype for FROOT's demo really picked up after Marina showcased it on bose's live tbh, so I reckon if someone does have it (by the grace of something, please say someone does) we'll be waiting a few years, at least.

Im surprised there’s so many “spicy” threads devoted to Marina-she’s always demure by a pop stars standards atleast  - like there’s so many places devoted to her chest despite her being covered constantly.

I thought a lot of the L&F outtakes were written with Jesse Saint John and they got dumped because of his behavior and the allegations that came out? Or am I huffing glue? That could explain the "rushed" part of it if true - scrap a chunk of material, and rather than go back to the drawing board, just polish whatever we've got and kick it out the door.

Everyone wants to be able to talk and speak and have all the input and recognition but none of the responsibility. 

Maybe if she's independent now or w/e with less people over her head, she might loosen up a bit? Maybe her topical feminism was shaped in part of having to adhere to the label's standards of acceptability? "You can have your Femi-album but it's gotta come packaged this way...."

Honestly just sellout. Go make an album of bought and sold generic pop. If you like to sing just literally go do that. Not every album needs to come from some personal pain, or be relatable politically or socially. Do a sellout era. Like a real one. Go do some guest vocals for some vocal trance music projects - operatic voices do great on some of that shit. Sometimes it's okay to just ~~vibe without some deep philosophical motivation behind the craft. Just be technical; it won't be for everyone, but there will be some existing fans that are along for the ride, and if you make new ones, congrats, there's a back catalog to explore.

The only leaked material he worked on is TNWWY and Worth It, the other 10 leaked outtakes don't have any relation to him so it's just rushed because it just is

like 132 said, only 2, one of which, worth it, she reregistered without him a few months later. (aka rewrote any parts he wrote so he’d have no credits, TNWWY was never registered)
 

even so, the allegations about Jesse were made in 2019 just before/after L+F came out, so whilst that was a theory at the time it doesn’t actually add up when it’s looked into. I think marina just didn’t vibe with him.
