yall think that the line about the towels represets the entirety of the song and it's not even a bad lyric, it's just describing in detail what she knows what to expect??

 

and yes, BIL is beautiful. the vocals in the chorus are heavenly and the lift to the higher note in the "i need to believe in love" is genius and stunning. the verses have that low experimental-y synth whatnot that fits so well.

The bridge focuses on how she feels so drained she needs to ask other people for help to rid herself of these toxic people. 

 

The verses touch on moments where she felt / feels she needed to cut these people off, one instance of a relationship and another focusing on trust,

 

it's not written like shite you guys are just quick to judge because of the second verse being in detail.

I actually don't hate NMS because of the towels line

 

 

I think that the lyrics of the song are for the most part not bad, but they also aren't the best she can do

 

 

it's just that the melody and the production are bland and basic AF

 

but the reason I HATE the song is the hideous vocals of the pre-chorus    

 

but who knows? If even SS and OT can grow on me, maybe this one will too (I highly doubt it though)

The only album of Marinas that I didn't sleep on for several months was Electra Heart. I jumped right in cause it was just SO easy to get into. It must have helped that at the time I was 100% that tumblr girl who searched far and wide for soft grunge aesthetics and music.

 

It took me a year to really get into all the songs on Froot, and I find that I still only really like 3 songs from Love + Fear. I don't want to feel like a fake fan cause I love Marina, but I really do look like those people who love Born To Die and never give Lana's other albums a chance

 

Can anyone relate? Or do I just deserve to be attacked?
