@prettywhenimhigh had this issue with Chrome and was able to solve it by moving to Firefox.

I thought this would work! But i just tried on Samsung Internet (not connected to the same email as Google is) and nothing changes :/

Try to use Firefox, Samsung Internet and Chrome both use the Chromium engine so they are basically the same.

 

I can't guarantee that it will work but it's worth a try.

yes, clearing my cache and cookies and restarting my latop didn't work at all. for the 3 years that I've been on this website the extensions I use on my browser never were a problem though, is it something that can become a problem afterwards?

I don't use lanaboards on mobile so idk if you're able to install another browser, but try firefox if it's a possibility

okay I can like posts and tag people on firefox but I just now realized the images aren't showing  like signatures and gifs and stuff, I can only see the profile pictures

 

edit: not even the background image is showing, it's just black

I can't, I can't just have 2 browsers open at the same time so I can browse this website properly I'm gonna lose my mind

If you copy the image URL from Chrome (right click -> copy image address), can you open it manually in Firefox?

Can you follow these steps and make sure you have "Don't enable HTTPS-Only mode" selected?

Basically you have to set security.mixed_content.block_active_content to false. If that doesn't work go to Lanaboards and then click on the lock icon next to the URL bar and set "Upgrade to secure connection..." to temporarily off.

 

Also since this disables security features in Firefox it's best if you only use the browser for Lanaboards.

Okay so this just started happening to me now while this morning everything was fine. What's changed is that I updated Chrome.

 

I tried removing cookies and clearing local storage for lanaboards, then I had to log in and got a warning that the website isn't secure.

I also noticed that when I click to see who has liked a post, it opens it as if it's a link to a new page. Images also don't auto embed when pasting the link.

I looked at the console to see what's happening and it is the same issue as with the login, I suspect that the HTTPS is not correctly configured.

 

I was however able to like a comment when I opened the URL shown in the Console as if it was a page, then it liked the comment for me.

Notice that the request is being sent with an url starting with HTTPS but the endpoint is HTTP with no S so Chrome is blocking the request.
