I wish she would release albums/songs for digital streaming around the same time she records and mixes them instead of waiting for vinyl production. I feel like Lasso/Henry were very much an expression of her interest in country music in mid to late 2023 and now her muse is shifting into something different. In 2023 she was spending a ton of time in Nashville in the country scene and now she’s been in Louisiana which has probably given her a different direction sonically.

she’s been saying since LFL era she just wants to release music as she makes it, but she can’t because of her label. 
 

I think we’d have a Lana that’s 100 times more interested in her own music if she could release it when it was fresh in her mind, instead of over a year after the songs been made.

keeping my expectations low. no singles soon, and no album in may, newport folk festival style setlist at stagecoach maybe teasing 1 new song, rehashed 2023/24 setlist for UK tour, no news on the album until later in the year, news will be it’s changed

Some of you will hate me for this manifestation, but I genuinely do hope this album is a stripped back acoustic masterpiece. I was just listening to Nectar of the Gods and it so truly stark and beautiful it makes me tear up. Henry sounds really gorgeous and emotional to me so I will be totally thrilled with an album full of songs in this vein. Obviously I'll lose my mind over something more bombastic too if that's the direction it ends up going, but I'm honestly more intrigued by an album of slow somber guitar songs than I am by the Fenway intro.
