And also, can I add that "The right person" can just be... no one - but Lana herself?

What if no one is the right person that will stay at all? Is it really no one after all?

As long as you still have yourself, aren't you someone? aren't you a person? Can't you be "the person" who will stay for yourself?

This title alone explores and expand the theme of love, loyalty in so many layers, in so many ways and yet so simplistic - which is in the spirit of "back to the basic" (that Fenway Park song better be on this album) really fits with her idea of the follow-up album after Tunnel would be an easy listening experience rather than too much deep shit like Tunnel.

It would make sense if say yes to heaven is on the album tbh. It ties in perfectly with the album's title.

First, this is Lana's simplest and the most straightforward album title ever, like once you read it out loud, it just means like what it is: The Right Person Will Stay. it's not elusive, or any sort of easter egg, mysterious riddle or any sort of grande sound with any grande statement to it. Even the loved ones that are long gone (for example: her uncle, her gramma, etc) some people though are dead and gone but because they are "right" - therefore, they stay, but stay as a memory that she will always cherish inside of her, and eventually, takes with her when her time is up on Earth (The Grants continuation, just a thought).

Absolutely love this! Such a wise interpretation of such a "simple" title.

 

I think Lana's music can be perceived and experienced in so many different ways by different people and I think it's beautiful that we can all relate to her words somehow -  wether they're about a romantic relationship, or family, or even about ourselves. It's really nice that she's been exploring introspective topics and learning more about herself and her "roots", and it consequentially inspires us to seek the same when we consume her work.

 

Relating to Ocean Blvd, it's a great match she sang about the fear of being forgotten like the abandoned tunnel that once thrived and on the next one she might sing about the people who wouldn't forget her because they're the right ones after all. And I would love to see her opening up about her new life with Jeremy with us, it would be sweet to be part of her current reality that must be so different to those who are not close to them and don't knoe them in a personal level

Wow I really love your take on the title and reading this 

It makes me appreciate the title more and makes me a bit more excited again for this upcoming album.

 

Also love the "connection" to Say Yes To Heaven you've made. The album title also reminds me  alot of Yosemite and how she said that it’s about relationships that can stand the test of time (it can be all sorts too when you think about ..romantic, friendships etc.)

I agree with this but I doubt it is on the album since it was released so long ago.  But Say Yes To Heaven definitely could be intentionally or unintentionally a great "bridge" between Tunnel and TRPWS or  like some foreshadowing when you think about it

I'm super excited for the feature with Nikki Lane! I think 'Breaking Up Slowly' off COTCC was an absolute masterpiece. I feel like it's super underrated personally.

People are constantly making fun of her for absolutely no reason and I think it's just so tasteless, especially when she's actually a really good friend to the person we support as fans... she's been making music for a looooong time now and she's pretty known in the country scene, she deserves some respect

 

And I swear some complain she "forced" Lana to lean into country as if she's a 3yo who can’t make her own choices when it comes to her career and personal life.

If Lana is really going in the same direction (in terms of the genre) I think Nikki will be a good guide and can help her to be more accepted since she's not officially part of it yet and is not a consolidated artist in the field
