Make me your Dream Life 89,616 Posted 15 hours ago I sometimes go to the park real early before anyone goes up to watch the sunrise and hike. and right now it's covered in smoke from an update not too long ago. it honestly feels so strange seeing as to how fruitful these parts of the states can be, but can still get like this. it reminds me of Hawaii in some ways, but honestly, aside from the dryness and lack of rain, it hasn't been this bad since the few years ago. a lot of people are questioning the government/ local authorities, and some places just have no access to water despite the lush.

It was run by a couple who gifted each other bunny themed items every day and opened their museum to the public in 1998. They had 46,000 bunny related items, breaking the world record. I was actually going to visit it last year, but we never got around to it. This couple put their heart and soul into this. It was a non-profit so it was all donations, they even lived here. Stories like this break my heart. Good news -- they saved their 2 pet bunnies and 3 cats Also more good news -- found out they're planning on rebuilding! I have faith that the areas devastated will rebuild too; it will just take time. https://www.facebook.com/TheBunnyMuseum?ref=embed_page Reveal hidden contents I might have also sobbed for about 20 minutes over this i remember watching their segment on my crazy obsession, they had so much love for each other and bunnies, it's so sad that something like this would happen to them, and ultimately their life's work, they did not deserve this </3 3 Quote ʚ𖦹ɞ * 𝓘𝓬𝓮 𝓒𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓶, 𝓘𝓬𝓮 𝓠𝓾𝓮𝓮𝓷 * ʚ𖦹ɞ

Probably nothing they can really do, is it not like dry grass spreading fire for hundreds of miles. Then like the neighbourhoods and hills its just naturally the way it is. Just not somewhere people should probably live, its the natural habitat there, im sure even most trees in California have evolved to where their seeds only grow after they've been burned.
EstelsDream 820 Posted 14 hours ago The more ive been thinking about the fire and seeing how new fires start randomly its starting to seem like a arson to me. I know people are saying that embers are flying but the time it would take from an ember to fly that far would most likely extinguish the ember itself. I really hope the fires were caused by a lightning and not some sick arsonist. I hope everyone stays safe and the death count stays as low as it is right now! 1 Quote Taste's like 4th of julyy... Crimson and Clover 22,618 Posted 14 hours ago The Palisades fire and the Sinset fire are so close to my parents’/my family home in the San Fernando Valley I don’t think anything will happen realistically but it’s really scary. There was also a smaller fire called the Woodley Fire like just a few blocks but it was contained thankfully my cousins had to evacuate their home due to the Eaton fire. 2025 already sucks

The resources firefighters have are limited and stretched thin unfortunately. During previous fires the wind wasn't so bad because they typically occurred in the summer. With the winter weather, the heavy winds blew the fire out of control. The past three years have been the worst for fires because of climate change which is probably going to get worse over the coming years, and there's a procedure in place to try and prevent a mass-burning and keep damage as minimal as possible but it isn't always attainable with the resources they have. I think it was just one misfortune after another. Climate change + Santa Ana winds + Underfunded sector for fire prevention = disaster. I heard many of the water hydrants didn't even work for those poor firefighters, the situation is so sad. 6 Quote 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙖 𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣' 𝙜𝙤𝙩 𝙢𝙮 𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙.. Make me your Dream Life 89,616 Posted 13 hours ago I’m trying to be optimistic, so I just wanted to express. We go thru life day to day, doing our own thing, coming home to our special ones, our family, our pets. I think it’s incredibly beautiful and a powerful thing. That we’re all joining together, and that first responders and local heroes are leading, and things are being communicated well. It’s bringing people together and the resilience that it’s fostering. Contact your families etc. just to make sure theyre ok. I just got news that it’s been classified as a national disaster, so FEMA’s getting involved which is good for aid and supplies <3 If you’re here too, please be smart, get to safety. We’ve got this <3
jaesana 3,875 Posted 12 hours ago Seeing these bible-thumping, siblings for parents, mentally-stunted creatures on TikTok claiming what’s happening to California is karma and “God’s wrath” makes me want to go into these people’s trailer parks and shake the religious psychosis out of them. Did these freaks forget about literal flooding that JUST happened in North Carolina and Appalachia? Weather does not discriminate.

drugsdesire 10,234 Posted 12 hours ago (edited) i’m praying for everybody and their families and loved ones, this is a tragedy and it is so fucking scary. i cannot imagine the pain these people feel when they know they have to evacuate their homes and leave behind so many cherished memories. although a house can be rebuilt, a home can never be replicated. truly hoping this stops quickly and that people are able to help each other. sending everybody all my love and light ❤️ is studio city affected? i know one of lana’s houses is there. does anyone know if her houses will be okay? she is probably in louisiana so she is safe, but i’m worried for her pets and precious belongings such as pictures, books, her poems, family heirlooms, etc. Edited 12 hours ago by drugsdesire

This pisses me off so much lol I’ve seen so many people say this or CA “deserves” it because we voted democrat.. literally has nothing to do with what we vote, if anything, voting blue would help reduce the effects of climate chance. I’m sure a lot of those people are just rage-baiting, but it’s incredibly rude and disrespectful. either way, no one deserves to have their entire lives destroyed because you don’t agree with their views on politics. Crazy how little sympathy and empathy people have now. It makes me sad to see all these fires. living in California, I don’t remember fires like these happening before 2017. Almost every year following that, there’s been devastating fires. Some completely destroyed entire towns. Very sad. I know a lot of it is out of anyone’s control, but I hope something can be done by the state government to do a better job at preventing or managing awful disasters like the one these past few days. 4 Quote ♡︎

The bottom is very true, I actually watched a documentary last year about the wildfires and apparently is quite healthy for them to burn down and start again; obviously a tragedy for everything else though 1 Quote like a dream, you glide on the water and like a star, I shine from the shore
