In between lackluster performances from the 2014 Grammy Awards, the newest trailer from Disney’s Maleficent aired and it might be safe to say that it was the best performance of the night thus far. The trailer opened with a haunting version of the Sleeping Beauty original song “Once Upon a Dream,” only this time it didn’t have the timbre of a happy-go-lucky bubblegum princess. It was dark, creepy, and sung beautifully by the rising queen of film theme songs, Lana Del Rey.

I agree it's better than "Blue Velvet" (which I like very much...). Feels as though the song had always been meant for Lana. Her colour of voice really does for such songs.
