I would not consider this songs as bad ones, if I'm in the right modd, I like to listen to them, but they are my least favourites from the album and the ones I most likely skip.

 

16. Cruel World (way overrated in my opinion it's the same thing over and over again, could also have been 4 minutes long without much loss)

15. Guns And Roses (good lyrics, but boring beat and chorus)

1. Sad Girl (Love the slow-burning sass and jazz and the bridge is perfect)

2. Ultraviolence (Excellent vibe, perfect title track, and the inclusion of the lyrics/melody from FMUTTT at the final chorus is one of my favorite parts of the whole album. If every song had some harmonizing at the end like that the album would have been perfect. Songs like Old Money, Cruel World, FMWUTTT, PWYC, MPG and even SOC would have been excellent with some flair added in the final chorus!)

3. Florida Kilos (So fun to listen to, so hilarious to envision, such ear candy. I love it)

4. Brooklyn Baby (cute as fuck)

5. Black Beauty 

6. Fucked My Way Up To The Top (that "lay me down tonight" part is so great and i love the concept of the whole song but the bridge doesn't make it any better which bumps it down a few spots )

7. The Other Woman (I think it's a beautiful cover)

8. West Coast (On fire)

11. Is This Happiness (Damn, the introspection and nostalgia break me down)

This seems to be how it's settled. The top three of the list and last three of the list were pretty much solidified after 7-10 or so listens, but songs in the middle of the list shifted a bit even after listening to the album well over 30 times. I love this album so much and it sent me into another serious Lana obsession, but I think I like her other two albums a little more. BTD only had two duds for me and more songs that slayed me, and the eerie surf noir sound of AKA was so intriguing and interesting to me. I totally dig the narco-swing going on here though, it's intense.

These are alright, they just don't catch my attention. I love the rawness in PWYC (she said it was done in one session) and the lyrics to ITH are beautiful, but they don't stand out that much to me. Sometimes I do get MPG in my head though, haha.

These shine above some of the others. I love the new BB production, although I might have liked it a whole lot more if it hadn't been leaked. I was already kind of over the song when UV came out though I want a video for it and it is still very beautiful.

I love these! I love their productions so much even though they vary from one another. I love the guitar in Flipside and FMWUTT is so much fun to scandalously sing in the car to myself. I want to see her perform that live.

I couldn't really choose between these two as being my favorite. I love love love the transitions in WC and the instrumentals in general, and although its more pop-y I like the lyrics too. Brooklyn Baby is just amazing, especially playing loud with my windows down and that reverb.

These results are really interesting to me.

Random thoughts:

• I love Is This Happiness? but I always feel like she's going to rhyme heart with fart instead of far... Eek.
• Adore the guitar on Florida Kilos, and the lyrics are great, but I kinda hate her singing on it for some reason that I can't pin down. I would say it's because she sounds pouty and whiny, but I like that on some of her other songs. 
• I never knew people liked Brooklyn Baby so much! I dunno, it feels contrived to me. It borders on satire. Maybe I'm too cynical?
• I used to love Lana's version of Sad Girl, but now I've heard my own cover too much and I'm sick of it...
• Flipside and Guns and Roses are forgettable. That is a CRIME when it comes to Lana Del Rey.
• Being goth, I feel like I should love Black Beauty, but something about it is also kind of annoying to me. And I AM a girl with black nails 100% of the time. So shit. It also makes me think of that damn book about the horse. Maybe I should give it another try.
• Cruel world is great, but it goes on for way too long. It only ever felt like the right length live in concert.
