Especially after Boom Clap... It's a really cute song but just has no character to it. It's very bubblegum and generic. If she's not going to serve the intense retro synthpop of True Romance, then she might as well at least do some awesome punk. National Anthem 9,904 Posted April 27, 2014 I really wanna love True Romance. You're The One, Nuclear Seasons, and You (Ha Ha Ha) give me so much life but the rest are sorta bleh. Stay Away is okay. Idk maybe it'll all grow on me when the album is released. I haven't really listened to anything else but those 4 as bits if others so it'll all be new to me. Hoping it'll just be a single for the movie. I hope her label didn't persuade her that breaking up wasn't going to sell as a single and decided to go with a generic pop song instead... But I still don't think boom clap is an official single.
