iseeyouupsidedown 931 Posted September 28, 2014 It's one thing to think she's sexy, but the graphic detail is starting to get a little creepy and sexist... She's not an object she's a talented woman and I'm pretty sure most people go to her shows because of her music... If they just wanted to see tits and ass and hear music, they would go to a strip club. Anyway, it somehow just hit me that what if Money is actually a cover of the song by The Flying Lizards! I would love that actually!
782anonymous 220 Posted September 28, 2014 Newsflash: they don't this is also singlehandedly the most creepy post in all 335 pages of the thread You're wrong. I personally know a few straight guys who have been to one of her shows. If anything is creepy, it's how obsessive most of you are hunting down people for unreleased music and not caring about leaking songs she doesn't want leaked, spending so much time creating fan-made album covers, drawing pictures of her, spending hours searching the web for her vinyls, obsessively typing out lyrics for old ass songs, sending her gifts and letters, posting a master list of her songs over and over again, regularly checking for songs that she's registered, going out of your way to try to meet her, and obsessing over how your iTunes library looks and is organized. Charli doesn't have to worry about me hunting her down, and I haven't sent her shit. If recognizing that she has big ass nipples when she isn't wearing a bra (or is wearing a see-through bra) makes me creepy, then so be it.

You just made it seem like "fuck this bitches shit music, i just want her on her knees, that's all she's good for". And your definition of creep was so fucking stupid, it's called being a fan. I'm sorry that most of us are 20 and don't have major responsibilities unlike yourself, who seems like he's 34 and supports a family of 6. Yet somehow you have time to mock people on an internet forum made specifically for an artist. What do you expect?

At first I assumed she had her own song called Money but then I realized she put Money by the Flying Lizards on a playlist before and has talked about them as one of the influences for her new record. and @@782anonymous All I have to say is that that's a really backwards view. She has some crazy fans. Some of those 14 year old girls are RUTHLESS. But most of us here are pretty mature I hope, and the fan art I do is because I'm an ARTIST. I do a LOT of art. And I happen to think she's gorgeous and fun to draw. She never really seems to have an issue with it considering she's posted it and said thank you before... I've never seen her post a creepy sexist comment about her tits with a thank you note before.

I have never known anyone in real life who does most of the things I've seen in this thread. It's an eye-opener. Normal guys don't write women letters about their breasts; they look at them and make passing comments. 10% of the first comments on the BTR video are about her rack and butt. That's just the way it is.

This is just from observation, and I'm not saying it's good thing, but honestly what it means to be a "super fan" has changed from the times you were growing up (and from when I was in middle school too tbh). Nowadays with twitter and Instagram and tumblr, and just the internet in general, a lot of the crazy fan stuff that's possible today wasn't possible back then. I want to meet her, but only if she comes out to the merch table and is interested in meeting me. And like I said I'm an ACTUAl artist. I play guitar. I do graphic design. I draw. So I have done covers of her songs (never would record or post them lol), I have made illustrations/drawings of her... But nothing over the top or creepy. I do it first as an artist and second as a fan. edit: @@782anonymous I never said you would write that in a letter... But you write it online. I never sent her a drawing or letter in the mail, I once posted a drawing on tumblr. That's how she found it... Talking about looking up a girl's skirt to see her panties is over the top and rude. That's an invasion of Charli's privacy. Like those people who fingered Iggy so she had to start wearing multiple layers of underwear. It's gross and not appreciated by female artists. Songs about sex can be amazing, but vouyerism and obsessing over a fully clothed woman's body is just a bit much. Sexism and objectification are real things, and for now unfortunately, because almost every society started as a patriarchy and favors males, a straight male talking about Charli the way you do can be considered extremely sexist. She's not inviting those kinds of comments.

I've never seen her in person and didn't hack into anyone's stuff. Legally, a person does not have an expectation of privacy when they show their underwear and body parts in public. They're out there for everyone to see. Do you expect everyone to close their eyes? Songs about sex can be amazing, but vouyerism and obsessing over a fully clothed woman's body is just a bit much. Seeing Charli flash her underwear in public is not voyeurism.

You're the one grossly exaggerating over how "creepy" it is for us to be organized completionists who like to make art for someone we'd go out of our way to meet. & if it was only in response to you being personally attacked, then maybe you should've responded to JUST the people attacking you, instead of generalizing and, in-turn, insulting basically everyone here who has ever done anything that falls under your idiotic definition of "creepy." That's what pisses me off. Argue with whoever all you want but don't turn around and insult everyone because you're feeling cornered. iseeyouupsidedown 931 Posted September 29, 2014 While we are already so off topic and talking about sex, can we talk about drugs? Lol It's getting WAY too hostile here... Regardless of opinions we are all Charli fans. Let's hold back and summer down a bit... I'm guessing @@782anonymous isn't the only one here who is against marijuana and alcohol. I think it's interesting how when we say your sexual comments are creepy, you go back to how sex is natural and weed and alcohol aren't... For young people today they kind of are though... What's so wrong about weed? I think experimenting with softer and more accepted drugs like weed and alcohol are part of growing up. Young people do those things, just like they experiment with sex. And I don't hear about any young people dying from smoking a joint... I think drug policies should be more sensible. Lol sorry mods, this may be WAAAY too off topic. I'm actually curious how 782anonymous feels about this though because most people I meet that are against drugs and alcohol as he is are also against premarital sex but you're so incredibly liberal about sex yet use almost puritanical language when it comes to weed and beer.
