hey icons im popping in to share a random theory that i just came up with (and im hoping nobody else came up with it before or else thats embarrassing!)
 

ok so ag cook revealed in the n1a liner notes that the instrumental to dreamer "actually had a twin called 'Screamer' - one was harsh and one was dreeeaaammy". my theory is that screamer is actually xxoplex.

- xxoplex is a harsh instrumental song
- though it wasn't released until 2020 on ag cook's album apple (wait hold on now im thinking about how the cover for that album is a GREEN APPLE she and ag have been planning this for years..), the song was played in ag's sets as far back as 2018
- oh yeah not to mention xcxoplex being released as a remix i mean the stars are fucking aligning

i dont have any actual proof beyond a reasonable doubt of this so itll only ever be a theory unless we can get ag to confirm or deny it but like. i think its plausible

Well if everyone thinks Pop 2 is better and the critics think Pop 2 is better (#4 highest rated mixtape of all time on rate your music) and charli even does… maybe it’s just the truth?

 

N1A is great but the middle section is kind of boring and drags a bit whereas Pop 2 doesn’t have ONE single dull moment  it’s banger after banger

ooh i was thinking about screamer the other day and how we have almost no information about it. sadly, screamer is pretty forgotten when talking about unreleased music so this theory sounds very interesting. i gotta listen to these back to back

out of my head is a skip but every song on n1a is a HITTT 

 

i actually really disagree with the middle section of n1a being boring. imo it keeps it’s pace until the very end. in conclusion n1a is the third best album ever released by anyone

whether it's truly 'overrated' or better than Number 1 Angel ETC is subjective and based on personal taste / opinion

All I’m saying is I think it’s a dumb critique, Pop 2 is her most critically acclaimed project and what cemented her as a true artist in the public’s eye so obviously it holds a special place in her discog but I don’t think N1A is better or the praise it receives is unwarranted to the point of it being overrated
