its sad when all of justin bieber's LYRIC videos recently have better direction and concept than Lana's videos this era (if we can even call this an era) lmao

 

its because she does everything by her vision. She doesn't have a team behind her, thinking and working behind her back. That why i like Lana so much, although this era for me is a little bit boring. Too much Kieron Menzies and Rick Nowels for my taste.

but sometimes good to have that 'right' team behind you.. i guess it comes down to the

I am still totally into 'Honeymoon' and can't wait to get my CD box set in November at last.

 

Would love to see Lana live in concert playing her 'Honeymoon' songs especially in churches or in philharmonic halls because of the strings...and then put it on a DVD!

That's true, though I do see it as a massive weakness though. The Honeymoon "lyric video" is a key example - instead of an actual video/ or even an actual lyric video - we got a few seconds of footage before a cut into some fan made static lyric image. It was disappointing to me because I know Lana is a visual artist yet she couldn't do anything more than some Tumblr fan art?

And that’s why I’ll always believe there is a full video for Honeymoon. It seems to me it was a last minute decision to make it a lyric video.

anyone here a fan of Mari Wilson (from the 1980s).(a Dusty Springfield throwback) (Mari never made it in the US at all).

funny thing is, Mari just sang, had a couple of songs the public knew

yet now at 61, I would bet, Mari wakes up every day and heard Amy Winehouse completely copy her and then Adele copy Amy who copied Mari

 

Lana should request  Mari and Julee Cruise to do back up vocals (and give them prominent billing as tribute to two unsung singers of the past) in a future orchestral performance in tribute to both Mari and Julee (who would probably jump at the chance if both were asked and they didn't have other contractual obligations preventing it).

The #1 commercial star on the plantet. (all those might be great, however, I can't say I have spent a penny buying their stuff or going to their shows.

There is not one second of Adele's new album that wasn't micromanaged to be just what it is (and granted, the music industry at this time needs these

ultra super heroes to keep it afloat. So it becomes a thing where each drives each other (in a way like Garth Brooks then Taylor Swift did for the country music

industry.)
Because the fact is, record companies are a thing of the past and one day artists and artistes will be free of the chains of all record companies

 

an artist like Lana can post her own self-made video and songs on her own as she used to do and at any time do a spur of the moment live performance,

if she wanted to, right on the beach, bring along one of her music friends with a guitar, and tweet it all over
