well I agree that it's kinda out of place compared to the vibe of the verses...it took sometime for me to get use to it

I think it's the way that her voice is engineered differently in the chorus than in the verses that makes it 'out of the place' for you.

 

The same thing happens in Beautiful Problems, Beautiful People. Imo it is done intentionally to give it a raw, vintage feeling but some people don't like it.

I instantly loved "out of the black into the blue" when I first heard it. Especially at the end of the song. It feels so liberating for some reason, and then comes the sea birds and the ocean sounds... and it just... beautiful. So beautiful.

the thing i think im most excited for rn is the next 'first' single; which'll obviously be some ways away beyond the supposed RBFY,BAR,YOS releases & the 25UR album- but the time you get to hear the the first new single is heaven. I remember hearing West Coast; i was so fucking into it, same with Honeymoon, and Love was so sweet and tender and it really opens the doors to the era's sound. (Love kinda killed that though but it's fine ). 

 

Just thinking about the next album, if she'll use more acoustic instruments like TNC, will she go more modern hiphop like Summer Bummer with the pittering beats and less of the boom bap BtD had (hope not (: ), will she go more contemporary like Love was? Her voice can ride so many different sounds it's insane- Hollywood shows she can do pretty well with a more electronic and synthy sound- needs better mastering but it's a demo so it's alright, even the Foxtrot version of Young and Beautiful shows she can fucking cook more pure jazzy and cabaret instruments to perfection.
