I don't really understand the whole Grimes fans complaining about her making pop music. Claire has always been vocally supportive of pop music and a big reason her music was so electronic was because she didn't have the means to make pop music. If you listen to her progression as an artist you can hear as her production and writing skills got better her music became more and more pop sounding, hence why Visions sounds way more pop than Halfaxa. As much as I throughly enjoy her work to this point, I am extremely excited after hearing Go, Realiti, and now Entropy. I think Claire is a very talented writer, producer, and overall artist and I'm excited to see what she can bring to the table in terms of pop music and pushing the limits of pop music.

Kennedy winning that challenge over Jaidynn / Katya when her performance was average & her runway was ATROCIOUS is a fucking travesty..
I think Ru just wants to create bullshit to get more buzz for the show.
Kennedy's runway had no fucking shape or taste to it. It looked like Big Bird if he were green, trampled by an elephant or something. Tbh Katya's performance + runway should've given her the win... but they want a reason to keep Kennedy around because she's drama and she's a strong lip sync girl. Can you say Coco Montrese pt II?

They knew from the start of editing what they wanted to do with Trinity. You kinda make it sound like they edited AS the show is filmed, which is clearly untrue.. like she didn't suddenly become good, she really did pick herself up off the ground and improve. They just focused a lot on how much she was struggling to begin with so that we'd really see her improvement and grow to love her. I also wouldn't say she was ever a filler queen with the looks she served and the lip sync performances she gave.
 
Either way I don't think it's the same thing at all with Pearl this season. They're giving Pearl way more of an Adore edit than a Trinity edit. The whole redemption arc is looking the same so far, except they actually made Pearl lip sync early on. I do agree it's stupid though, how the judges are criticizing her personality when it's very lowkey robotic like she described it. I think they just wanted her to be bigger with it, make it more obvious, which she succeeded in doing for the DEPSY awards.

I really don't think it was fake, but yeah it was obviously planned. Duh. Ru wanted some kind of reaction out of Pearl.

this is honestly so dumb, if it was released 10 years ago it would be savvy + new but its so pointless when you can stream for free via spotify and download tracks (albeit illegally) via the internet in 1 second.
 
also the whole #TidalForAll stuff is bullshit bc I don't know anyone who will have £20 spare to spend on streaming "exclusive" HQ music, so I think it's created complete exclusivity. plus, I can understand doing it for artists who are relatively small-ish (ie Marina) bc it gets them extra $$$ but really? Beyoncé? Jay-Z? Madonna? don't you guys already have fat paychecks with lots of 0000000? (off topic but where were all these black celebs at Tidal during Blackout month + #BlackLivesMatter hmmmmmmmmm? but that's another situation)

Ugh Pearl and Max slayed so hard. I was actually laughing through the whole episode, I think it's the best of the season so far. It made me like Violet, Fame, Katya, Max, and Pearl even more!
 
Glad Pearl stepped it up. I actually felt like the tension between her and Ru was real. I totally could sense that she would react that way after Ru said he has no personality. And I'm glad it lit a fire under his ass, but in surprised Pearl didn't get any specific recognition from the judges even though she won the challenge.

@ based on the charts tho, there are only 3 or 4 queens with looks past next week. So Fame isn't the only one on the fence for next week's elimination. It's between like 4 girls, and based on how left-field Trixie's elimination was, who knows who will go home next? I suspect Kandy will go home tho; they've been building up to that lately. Plus she's the textbook definition of filler, sooo.
 
I really enjoyed this episode tonight! Most everyone did a good job in the challenge and the winners were well deserved. The standoff between Pearl and Ru... omg.
Miss Fame is so amazing too tbh, her personality is so endearing and funny and genuine and ditzy and flawless and ahhh idk I love her. The chicken confessionals.. IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW! :^) I really hope she makes it Top 6 at least.. But I'm worried she'll go home 8th on the Snatch Game episode. Idk why but I'm just paranoid about it. 
 
Tbh I like all the queens left except Kandy and Kennedy. Ginger gets on my nerves a bit though, with the annoying "girl I love you BUT" with some dumbass comment following it. She's the biggest shit-stirrer this season. Idk, i'm getting nervous because the outfit charts don't really apply anymore and I can't predict who will go home. T__T

Hi everyone, as I presented myself in the Welcome section, I'm a fine arts student. As part of one of my second year units on fans and amateurs experts, I had to write an essay on fandoms. Being a Lana stan and being fascinated by religion, I decided to do it on how the Lana Del Rey fandom can bring criticism on the relationship between fandom and religion. I immensely enjoyed writing it and I really want to explore it much further. It's called "Kissing God - Lana Del Rey is my religion".    Please keep in mind that: _ I only got B+ for it because I only cite pop culture sources _ I was immensely depressed and suicidal during the whole time I wrote it _ English is not my first language and I'm not a particularly good writer _ I was still a pretty basic Lana stan when I started to write it.   I hope you'll like it Feedback would be much appreciated!   PS this is what my tutor said about it, it adds some insight.
