I have a theory and it's that Lana wants to bore this fandom to death. All on purpose. So that we all are just as bored as she is

In the aspect of you believing there is still a "K" figure of a man she loved who was on death row/died, I believe it to be fact.
I say that because of you what said, about the narrative, but also just watching her.
When you watch certain live performances of songs like Dark Paradise and Blue Jeans, where she is speaking of someone she will love beyond this life, watching her eyes and her motions and emotional performance I am always led to believe this is a true narrative.
As much heart and emotion she puts into everything, I understand, but with these it is stronger in my opinion.

And yes, while doing some sleuthing it has come across some of the names/situations brought onto this thread but I think any of us with some personal info should keep it to ourselves until the right time, if there ever is one.

So what was the time-frame of their relationship do you think?

Okay, I've held on to this info for a while to make sure when I shared it I had info from various sources and had opinions from a few people to see if this all adds up instead of it being massive reaching on my end. After a few months of digging, I think it's safe to say the identity of K has been cracked.

First, Josh's last name begins with K.
In 2008 him and Lizzy were posting things to each other (relationship wise) and he changed his relationship status to married around Dec. 11th, 2008 (based on someone commenting on a post asking when he got married - this could also explain why she wore a wedding around that time)
Josh plays World Of Warcraft (the game referenced in Video Games that Lana has mentioend before)
He said Video Games was about him
They lived together at one point based on statuses and pictures
He has a lot of tattoos which could represent the Born To Die / Blue Jeans guy (which could fit into the 'K Triology')
There's a pic of him sitting on the couch playing bass (lyrics - You play the bass)
There's a pic of them doing dishes where he said "dishes with dolly" (lyrics - I'm his little dolly.. yaaaaas @ Noir being about Josh!!!)
He also had Lolita lyrics in his 'about me' on Facebook until recently - which could mean a lot of the daddy songs are about him even though they're around the same age (ageplaying / roleplaying?)
Josh's tattoo development aligns almost perfectly with the Born To Die and Blue Jeans releases if he's the inspiration behind them

How do I post this without sounding so much like an obsessed freak-fan? Lol

For me, I discovered Lana from BTD my junior year of highschool. So hearing songs like This is What Makes Us Girls helped me cope with my lifestyle at that point in time, if that makes sense. I was a wild child in a sense and I felt connected to her. And I always felt like I needed a lover in my life to feel complete, and that spoke to me through her music. So I related.

Paradise spoke to me on levels when I was in college, first got there and felt so confused. I worked at this theater about 30 miles from campus and the drive to and from work was like my escape. When I heard Ride for the first time I just rolled all of my windows down and cried.

Then came UV. It shooooook me. I had been in a rough relationship, very chaotic but full of love at the same time. And I related to it. Shades of Cool was my anthem driving around the backroads of my town at night.

Honeymoon was also relevant to my life recently, engaged and living with my life partner. We have a very interesting dynamic. Which I related to in the songs of HM.

As you can see, sonically, I have grown up with her albums. Each release has related to my life events at that time so to me, she holds a very special place for me. I can put on a track from Paradise and close my eyes and remember memories of living in the dorms in college.

Songs have helped me understand my own thoughts/feelings about situations in my life at the time. If I can’t explain what i am thinking/feeling, I can often find a track and it just speaks what I am thinking.

Lana has given me a voice that I was afraid to find, and never realized I had. She has inspired a lot of me getting back into writing over the years as well. I have learned tons of her songs on guitar. She just helps me creatively as well as emotionally.

I now sound like a Maaaaaajor Stan but idc

    A few of my favorites...

He knows that I be looking to die,
He says "Baby pay respect to the high"
    -Hundred Dollar Bill

I love this lyric, I relate to it

    also...

Late at night, lady on the side
Call me late if you wanna get high
You and I, laying in Versailles
You and I get to know one another
    -Your Girl
(But we don't have the full leak yet   .....soooooo)

So I was listening to TLY today (like 5 times in a row) and I was thinking about what could she be singing about/what was this song written about?

    So here's my theory....

    TLY is for/about K?

Although he isn't dead (at least to my knowledge-know that he was on death row but idk if he was actually killed)

"I put the radio on, hold you tight in my mind
Isn't strange that you're not here with me
But I know the light's on in the television
Trying to transmit, can you hear me?"

These lyrics hit me as her wanting to reach someone who isn't here or who she can't contact anymore.

Just a bogus little theory I thought of and I don't know if it makes sense or anything. Just a lot of the lyrics allude to a guy who had a bad reputation and she didn't mind because she loved him, she lost him, she thinks of him a lot, and she's tried to communicate with him or something. Knowing homegirls interest in philosophy and the higher powers, maybe she has actually attempted to communicate with someone who isn't here anymore lol.

    I couldn't agree more.

I think that her fandom fails to realize at times that she's got her contract with her label, she has the freedom to branch down any avenue (realistically speaking) with her style of music. Every album we've gotten from her has had its own vibe and sound.
Listen to her unreleased music, how broad her tastes and styles are.
I think Lana loves to experiment with her music, so everyone bitching about "I want BTD/UV/HM pt.2" "If LDR5 is like HM I will kill myself" needs to chill. It's probably going to be somewhat different than the rest of her albums!
She doesn't have to promote, she doesn't have to be on an exact releasing schedule...the girl is writing and making music. That's what she has said she has always wanted to do. I don't think she cares at this point as much. BTD put her on the scene in a sense, she got her money and fandom, and she's now doing what she's always wanted.
