While I'm still processing the legendary new photoshoot I have to say that I really like the LFL era so far. I know some of you are complaining about the "lack of promo" or Lana being "lazy" etc. but I think this time she's making a really clever and original album roll-out. Lana's not your everyday pop star so why should her "promo" be normal? It started with her tweeting seemingly random things about the 7 new planets or the chimera thing, and then she had the weird and witchy "Ingredients can b found online" tweet (also referring to the anti Trump spells). And now she's revealing the tracklist bit by bit in interviews – so to me this era isn't a mess but probably is going as Lana wanted it to go (except the "Love" leak). Teasing the fans and giving them some food for thought (and laugh) along the way, like the great album trailer. And even releasing a non-album song inbetween.

"Solve et Coagula" seems to be very present in this era lol. One day you all are having an extreme negative meltdown and then the next day it's an extreme positive buildup.
It's all part of the plan…

This is so great – and I can't stop laughing because the photos are just hilarious, I love them. My faith in the LFL-era is fully restored.

The more I think about it the more likely WTWWAWWKD will be on the album imo?
 
Well, I have a song that’s quite aware about the collective worry, about whether this is the end of an era. It’s called “When the world was at war we kept dancing.” But I actually went back and forth about keeping it on the record, because I didn’t want it there if it would make people feel worse instead of better.
 
^ She says "I have" why would she say that if she decided to take it off the final track list? I think she's just saying she had doubts about keeping it there because it was a dark song? The only reason she mentions thinking of removing it is, as she says, she "didn't want it there if it would make people feel worse"? It's clear with this album she's wanting to send out love and positive energy with her work so she was concerned if this song would give a wrong message, that's the only reason she had doubts. 
 
Why would she say "I have a song" about a song that isn't on the album? Why go into this amount of detail over a song she removed from her album?

I feel so bad for Lana. She obviously saw her own fans criticizing and dragging her so she made the decision to clarify that she wrote it a month ago.
 
And the fact that she probably saw the great response the initial video had and thought to record it to make us happy and then she gets dragged... very sad

I'm not quite sure what to think of the new song. It's nice, some parts are really good but the production is way to cheap for me. Maybe there'll be a better mastered/produced version on the album (but I doubt it).
 
What's still giving me hope for the new album: the first three songs that were released from Honeymoon ("HM", "Terrence l.y." and "High by the beach") all weren't killer tracks for me (i especially hated Terrence...) but the entire album is awesome nevertheless, so...

I don't think this is entirely fair to Lana.
 
Love leaking and being released early was not Lana's fault. Didn't someone from LanaBoards leak it? While I'm sure you weren't the one who did, it's unfair to blame Lana for that after people on this board had it early and couldn't keep it to themselves.
 
Same with Best American Record.
 
If Love wasn't leaked and was released when it was supposed to be, things wouldn't have been such a mess.
 
None of those multiple sources should have leaked the date if May 26th was real. Again, that was not Lana's fault.
 
Lust For Life was actually Lana's fault, since the date that leaked alongside the May 26th date was a date the week before, which was the date Lust For Life (song) was supposed to hit the radio. If I had to guess, the reason she released Lust for Life early was to keep leakers from leaking it (maybe).
 
I like that Lana released a song for us even if it's not from the album, tbh. I feel like that was something to tide us over.
 
While certain parts of this era's problems (the silence, mainly) are Lana's/her team's fault, not all of it is. The problem in the beginning lie strictly at the feet of leakers and traders (including members here).

I think Coachella would have sounded much more elegant if it were produced by the 'Bel Air' guy, MORE piano & orchestra & LESS beats & bass.

Generally when it comes to albums we set our expectations and standards waaaaay to high. And so we can't apprieciate songs for what they are because we're blinded by our high hopes. If this was an unreleased song that was just recently leaked, ya'll would be loving it and wanting it to be included on one of her albums. Why? because naturally we just want what we can't have. We apprieciate her unreleased music (even the dull, boring ones) because we know that it doesn't have to be anything else. It's just a song. Whereas when it comes to album singles we set our standards too high and it makes us start hating things that aren't THAT bad.
 
Like, imagine if Love was an unreleased song that leaked. How much greater would that song seem?

She's with G Easy, if anything it'll get more trap and mainstream. What I want is acoustic/surf rock

I swear every era a bunch of people throw tantrums and threaten to unstan and yet they're still here era after era... like if you don't like a song then you don't like it, fair enough, but why bother saying you're gonna unstan unless you actually mean it?
 
Like... just drop the hysterics, nobody's gonna beg you to stay...

On the bright side – everybody is going to love Honeymoon from now on.

This is true, my love for honeymoon magneified after I heard Lust for Life (song)  but that's the only song I'm not feeling this era, and even that is starting to grow on my a lot. Her music takes times guys, especially when it's in a different direction. Look at UV for instance.

So the Honeymoon hate has started again. Sometimes I feel y'all deserve this kind of mediocre music for paying dust to such a cohesive, well thought out brilliant album. But then the gays would even declare those mediocre songs as better than honeymoon.
