  1. I honestly don't mind what she does besides trying to write a successful political song. I read that part and was like nooooo we don't want that From anyone
  2. Israel pulled their negotiations team from Qatar. "A Hamas official tells Al Jazeera negotiations on prisoner exchanges are now over and will not resume until Israel halts it attack and hands over all Palestinian prisoners." “Following the impasse in the negotiations and at the direction of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, David Barnea, head of the Mossad, ordered his team in Doha to return to Israel,” Last deathtoll report was 15,523.

  4. Her latest post. This is everyone's lives now that the ceasefire is over. The second last paragraph. This is going to haunt people forever. It's going to be taught in schools like the Jewish Holocaust and children will once again ask "why couldnt other countries help them?" But who knows, they might not even be taught that their own countries were responsible for letting this happen.

Oh thank you for reminding me Unhappy Meal exists
  6. Enough people believe them no matter how much evidence against them shows up anyway Netanyahu said from the start it was essential for the US to believe they have no choice but to destroy Gaza. Nothing else matters so long as the US keeps allowing them and supporting them with money and weapons
  7. Agreed, like Israel not cooperating with the US advising them against illegally colonising the West Bank and using unlawful violence against Palestinians for years
  8. I'd have to say 2012-2013, and I guess that kinda stretches to late 2014 as well. She did so many genres, her style of writing was so inspired and she seemed to have so much internal and external influence. And these times lead to Paradise, Ultraviolence and Honeymoon which are all SO different and absolutely masterpieces. Even visually, she was doing so much, and something different nearly every time.
  9. Do you think the Take Me Home Country Roads cover is going to be the album cover? (I hope not) But I do have so much faith in this album. Could be one of my favourites and some of her best covers for sure.
  10. This video I've shared before I know is very long (very worthwhile), but it's broken up into chapters so you could skip to the later chapters if want more about recent stuff, but the earlier chapters talk about the history of Palestine's resistance. He's a Professor of Modern Arab studies, so it's facts only. I think it's very good because the interviewer presents both sides of the "arguments" and then let's him explain what history really says.

The way her voice in the spotify artist message is pitched I'm tired of this!.
  12. So I'm feeling really really awful because I'm realising it's obviously not "humanitarian" to put a pause on genocide. I knew that before, but I'm also realising that this pause will only benefit Israel to get hostages back. When the bombing continues, Palestinians will keep being wiped out as if nothing happened. None of the released prisoners will be safe from it either, and it was a huge power move of Israel to capture yet more prisoners during the temporary ceasefire, to show Palestinians that is doesn't matter who's released, they will always have the power to imprison yet even more of them for anything.
  13. So if we are cool using the term terrorist for Hamas' war crimes here, why won't we use the word terrorism for Israel's IDF and government? They've committed plenty of war crimes. They've killed hundreds of babies since October 7th. What they've done is absolutely and unequivocally terrorism. There is no room for "but they didn't have the intention to kill 13000 innocents" in the definition of terrorism. "the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims." If we're not going to use the same term for the same crimes, then we have some racism to address. (I'm happy to use war crimes as a term for both because i know the word terrorism is strongly linked to Islamophobia, but thats not you right?)
  14. Israel, meanwhile, has been great at sharing misinformation on twitter, and not even removing the retweets when they're proven SO wrong, like that "Palestinian crisis actor". And the calendar in the hospital that they claimed had Hamas names on it, and it was literally just the days of the week. This case wasn't even on twitter. It was broadcast to everyone on the news and I don't think they ever addressed that they were wrong. It's also just crazy to me that Israelis are allowed to post the most insensitive disgusting tiktoks I've ever seen, but aren't allowed to share a post showing empathy to Palestinians who are dying.

I would swap The Principal with something else like Strawberry Shortcake or Nurses Office, but the others would definitely make the best singles. In fact Nurses Office went off so hard in the trailer it would probably have made the best first single (had she only made better decisions with the sound effects it would be my fave too).
  16. Just wanting to mention that Hamas committed war crimes and gets called terrorists. Israel commits war crimes (including before October 7th btw) and it gets called self defence with their previous war crimes conveniently omitted. The video I shared earlier talks about this double standard at 34:27
  17. https://frenchdailynews.com/society/geopolitics/10838-israel-takes-prisoners-in-the-west-bank "Israelis have released 117 Palestinians in the last three days and, at the same time, arrested 116 new Palestinian prisoners across the occupied West Bank.”
  18. I've always thought the young and beautiful demo sounds like this in the chorus. Definitely want more of that
  19. Interesting. What some of these Israeli Jews said is certainly not what their current government is aiming towards. It's also not what their government is listening to, in fact, if they're speaking up about this now, they're being silenced and possibly even imprisoned. Also there is nothing wrong with what the Palestinians in this video said. It's their home, and what Israel has done to their population and distribution is pushing them out of existence in the region. The Israel government has never shown an interest in peace and coexistence, even when their people want it.
  20. Very easy video to watch. One that finally doesn't just claim its too complicated to go into.
  21. So in the new Harper's Bazaar interview, she talked about the last frame of the music video being without the necklace because "you have to give [the necklace] back". I had interpreted it as giving up the necklace, not giving it back. So what does this interpretation mean now?
