  1. Kinda agree, I'd like it better as a solo song, but what really ruined the song was Lana's stupid "singing with Sean" lyric
  2. I think Lana made some weird decisions with collabs on Lust for Life. I mean, theyre all fine songs in the end, but it all could have been put together better. I wish Father John Misty could have been on there. He would have managed to make a political song better, and less "only of that specific time". The Weeknd also could have added way more to the album if he got to use his vocals better, like with an In My Feelings type of song. And also, I think Groupie Love is really underrated. A$AP is the only collaborating artist on LFL that I don't listen to solo, yet I like his collabs on the album the most.
  3. I have had no interest in her performances since 2016. I want material releases girl. I'll move when i hear there's a release of a well-recorded live version that's good enough to be studio.

Melanie's random Pity Party playlist on Spotify features High By The Beach and God Knows I Tried. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/26C66A9K9C9dqtL82XRnhU?si=J5Gg-x3iRoy8wkVvqxHrgg&pi=a-HXdGuE2HTJKT "This is the playlist my character Cry Baby would play at her party" Um that's cute. I want more.
  5. Not many new albums caught my eye this year but some that did: Yuele - soft scars Ocean Blvd of course Melanie martinez - PORTALS Slayyyter - STARFUCKER Pearly Drops - A Little Disaster Poppy - Zig All great albums but I'm afraid the replay value hasn't been super high for me, so none of them make it into my favourite albums category.
  6. https://www.numbervisualizer.com/ Helpful to get a grasp of how many people have actually been killed. And not forget that these are not just numbers to tally up and forget about, they are real people that have died and won't be coming back, that have left behind families, or in many cases, actually had their whole families eradicated with them. You can even change the icon from "dots" to "people". I dare Israel supporters to go to this link, type in 15523 and convince themselves while scrolling down the page that attacking a city and killing this many civilians is okay because "self defence". I also dare Israel supporters to type 6387 and convince themselves that killing this many innocent children and babies is okay. If eradicating Hamas is so important to you, why are innocent lives less important to you? "People are being killed in Gaza more quickly, they say, than in even the deadliest moments of U.S.-led attacks in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan, which were themselves widely criticized by human rights groups."
  7. Oh I quickly had to unlike this. There is no worst song on her most heavenly album.

Thats exactly how it looked in the video she posted, but what will be posted on the website looks a bit better. Still plastic though, im guessing? The lighting in that video was awful and made everything look dull and not shiny. Still eghh tho. Like is the gold bottom of the vials actually full of the perfume? Or is it just a space filler? It also could have been cute if the box was a mushroom or something. It would have felt like something truly out of the Portals world, not just the novelty alien head that gives mascot vibes.
  9. I honestly don't mind what she does besides trying to write a successful political song. I read that part and was like nooooo we don't want that From anyone
  10. Israel pulled their negotiations team from Qatar. "A Hamas official tells Al Jazeera negotiations on prisoner exchanges are now over and will not resume until Israel halts it attack and hands over all Palestinian prisoners." “Following the impasse in the negotiations and at the direction of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, David Barnea, head of the Mossad, ordered his team in Doha to return to Israel,” Last deathtoll report was 15,523.

  12. Her latest post. This is everyone's lives now that the ceasefire is over. The second last paragraph. This is going to haunt people forever. It's going to be taught in schools like the Jewish Holocaust and children will once again ask "why couldnt other countries help them?" But who knows, they might not even be taught that their own countries were responsible for letting this happen.

Oh thank you for reminding me Unhappy Meal exists
  14. Enough people believe them no matter how much evidence against them shows up anyway Netanyahu said from the start it was essential for the US to believe they have no choice but to destroy Gaza. Nothing else matters so long as the US keeps allowing them and supporting them with money and weapons
  15. Agreed, like Israel not cooperating with the US advising them against illegally colonising the West Bank and using unlawful violence against Palestinians for years
  16. I'd have to say 2012-2013, and I guess that kinda stretches to late 2014 as well. She did so many genres, her style of writing was so inspired and she seemed to have so much internal and external influence. And these times lead to Paradise, Ultraviolence and Honeymoon which are all SO different and absolutely masterpieces. Even visually, she was doing so much, and something different nearly every time.
  17. Do you think the Take Me Home Country Roads cover is going to be the album cover? (I hope not) But I do have so much faith in this album. Could be one of my favourites and some of her best covers for sure.
  18. This video I've shared before I know is very long (very worthwhile), but it's broken up into chapters so you could skip to the later chapters if want more about recent stuff, but the earlier chapters talk about the history of Palestine's resistance. He's a Professor of Modern Arab studies, so it's facts only. I think it's very good because the interviewer presents both sides of the "arguments" and then let's him explain what history really says.

The way her voice in the spotify artist message is pitched I'm tired of this!.
  20. So I'm feeling really really awful because I'm realising it's obviously not "humanitarian" to put a pause on genocide. I knew that before, but I'm also realising that this pause will only benefit Israel to get hostages back. When the bombing continues, Palestinians will keep being wiped out as if nothing happened. None of the released prisoners will be safe from it either, and it was a huge power move of Israel to capture yet more prisoners during the temporary ceasefire, to show Palestinians that is doesn't matter who's released, they will always have the power to imprison yet even more of them for anything.
  21. So if we are cool using the term terrorist for Hamas' war crimes here, why won't we use the word terrorism for Israel's IDF and government? They've committed plenty of war crimes. They've killed hundreds of babies since October 7th. What they've done is absolutely and unequivocally terrorism. There is no room for "but they didn't have the intention to kill 13000 innocents" in the definition of terrorism. "the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims." If we're not going to use the same term for the same crimes, then we have some racism to address. (I'm happy to use war crimes as a term for both because i know the word terrorism is strongly linked to Islamophobia, but thats not you right?)
  22. Israel, meanwhile, has been great at sharing misinformation on twitter, and not even removing the retweets when they're proven SO wrong, like that "Palestinian crisis actor". And the calendar in the hospital that they claimed had Hamas names on it, and it was literally just the days of the week. This case wasn't even on twitter. It was broadcast to everyone on the news and I don't think they ever addressed that they were wrong. It's also just crazy to me that Israelis are allowed to post the most insensitive disgusting tiktoks I've ever seen, but aren't allowed to share a post showing empathy to Palestinians who are dying.
