The last one would work so well. I would still buy the crybaby perfume if it was available in my country. I only ever heard good things about it.
  2. heroin: 10/10 in my feelings: 7/10 fishtail: 7/10 other faves since I posted already: Cruel World Born to Die Fuck it I love you
  3. Oh wow! In that case, Patrick Warren is up there with Dan Heath as my favourite producers with Lana
  4. Thank you so much! yeah I think that makes sense that it's a newer mix but from the first version of the song. quoting Blackoutzone: "Back then the track was very bare, mostly carried by acoustic guitar loop and very subtle drum pattern." Which does sound like the released version, but I imagine with less of the backing strings, etc. Orr maybe not. It's just that the strings and other background sounds stand out to me a lot and I can't imagine them being in the earliest version and removed later for UV and Honeymoon versions.
  5. So do I have this right (based on what Lanapedia says)? The released 2023 version is actually the original version produced by Rick in 2013 and has been untouched since 2013? All other unreleased versions we have heard were reworks after Rick's version. And even though Rick's version might have 90 mixes, they must all sound like the released version we have? Previously, I thought it was a later version of SYTH that was released. Like Lana kept wanting to perfect it over the years and finally got there more recently. But if the above is true, she eventually decided it was best as it originally was.
  6. I love listening to this album in full, but also in order of how we heard things during the era, which was Honeymoon, High By The Beach, Terrence Loves You, MTWBT, then the rest of the album in order. The experience was so strange. I had no idea what to expect. This was when nothing in Lana's discography was "oh that sounds familiar" yet, and everything was shiny brand new.
  7. Here for Honeymoon's 8 year anniversary roll-out in 2015, we'd had Honeymoon, HBTB and TLY by now. MTWBT Sep 11th Album Sep 18th

Maybe she should stay true to her "I spend 99% of my time away from this strange digital world" claim

Sorta my take too to be fair, I don't know what it's like having people say fake shit and claim it's you, but cmon girl, where's your woke unbothered energy that you've been promoting. At the same time I'm kinda glad she stood up to annoying fan cause some of us are unbearable
  11. Yosemite belonged on LFL no matter what her reservations were! To me, it didn't make sense on chemtrails at all. It might have even been better on NFR than chemtrails.
  12. She did explained it a bit in an interview during the UV era, but there was no way she was going to make a public statement on social media at that time. Edit: sorry I clicked post too early. Here's some of it (I thought she specified more but can't find where) "On what she now looks for in a relationship, Del Rey explained: "I like a physical love. I like a hands-on love… How can I say this without getting into too much trouble? I like a tangible, passionate love. For me, if it isn't physical, I'm not interested."
  13. I want to thank Jon Batiste for collaborating with Lana and not letting her be only backing vocals, but in fact making it almost her song. He is fantastic. I am loving their work together. Interesting as the last song on his album too.
  14. The Grants would be beautiful. I already cry to that song.
  15. Here to make this thread even trashier I think QFTC wins. It's been dragged on the longest as well. I think it's a great example of what could of been her best moment, but a few wrong words and blind greenlighting from her team/friends (or whomever she may have showed it to first) got her in a lot of trouble, unfortunately. If half of the first sentence and a few other words here and there were erased (they were unnecessary to get her point across anyway), it would have been her most iconic moment, and even her strongest.
  16. All the times she says something is coming (and is sometimes very specific about it- i.e. a collab or a music video) but it gets forgotten or scrapped. It's just one long and neverending "WTF " moment.
  17. I am completely obsessed with the opening strings of the music video, and the warped outro. Impact-wise it's her best music video too.
  18. Oh I found that demo! Its actually a compilation of 4 demos from the album. If you flick through it you should be able to see if you'll like it or not I just listened and am sniffling back tears after the ending with Sinking Ships
  19. I've never heard that demo but want to hear it now! I think the singers voice is so soothing and haunting, and her own views on dying really come through. I think Hour of the Nightingale is the only thing they officially released before Aleah died. My favourites on the album are Sinking Ships and the title track. I am not too sure how to describe doom metal tho, as Trees of Eternity and Chelsea Wolf are the only bands I listen to with that label. But from what i know, it's kind of like a droning metal sound, and it feels more peaceful to me. Still heavy, but I guess it let's you sink into the vibe more.
  20. Ooh thank you! I am particularly intrigued by Trees Clouds & Silence– Let Me Die On Your Roots. I hope it sounds like Trees of Eternity - Hour of the Nightingale (a doom metal album about death, and was created while the lead singer was dying of cancer). Gonna listen after my break
  21. You'd never guess but Halsey of all people got me into them she was explaining the shoegaze inspiration behind You Asked For This and referenced My Bloody Valentine, and bc i love the sound of that song I am now obsessed with shoegaze
  22. Favourites that I simply never skip are Prisoner, Dayglo Reflection, Hallucinogenics and Summer Wine. I think the most flawless of these are Prisoner and Summer Wine tho. Glad that these have been mentioned here a lot already! Special mention to Blue Madonna as well.
